peterpan
I agree with the OP. Allen doesn’t explode out of the pocket like he used to. It’s slower. Years past he easily runs for that first down (first drive of the Houston game)
Thrivefourfive
Okay, I see where all the JA17 sensitively is coming from in the game threads. Didn’t see this until now. No idea if Allen has lost a step. Every game, I look at him as a brand new iteration. Sometimes, his arm is massive. Sometimes, his leaping is extraordinary. Sometimes, his scrambling his circus-filled, sometimes his vision is insane, sometimes, his speed is blazing, sometimes his jukes are jigglin’, sometimes his zigs and zags are smoke, sometimes his wristband doesn’t flip flop, sometimes his hair looks nice, sometimes I feel like we can’t lose with him. Usually, he’s all these things all the time. Don’t know if he’s a step slower through. Don’t care.
Big Turk
Pretty damn good for a guy who "looks off" I guess. Notice "LaMew" is nowhere to be found on that list. Edited October 25 by Big Turk 1 1
eball
When I think about the Bills a huge smile comes to my face because Josh Allen is only just now starting the prime of his career. Lost a step? Ha. 1 2

The most INSANE thing about that list is Tom Brady isn't even on it. Shows how dominant he was in his 30's Allen is developing more as a pocket passer (of course he is very dangerous outside the pocket) he should be able to play at an elite level into his late 30's, God willing IMO he is becoming more unpredictable to defenses. This could be fantastic for us in the playoffs. He could randomly have a 15 carries for 100 yards and 3 TDs game
Dunkirk Donski
I told myself I wasn’t logging into tbd ever again. Hall of Fame posts like this have a way of changing a man’s mind.
Success
I guess "lost a step" is the new hip phrase for "playing insanely well." Kind of like when people used "bad" to actually mean "good."

Goin Breakdown
To be fair to the OP this post was made around those games where Josh wasn't playing well. I think many people were calling out Brady, McD and Josh trying to figure out what was going on. I don't think Josh lost a step but I do feel like Brady does have him on some sort of leash at times. Maybe Cooper changes this in the weeks to come.

Hear me out: 1) Slower through middle of pocket. Rolls right. Closes his eyes and throws. 2) I hold my breath on every audible. Does he really know what he’s looking at? 3) Still no anticipation throws. Throws to receivers who are open (is this a product of Josh not anticipating or Brady not designing?) His legs (and brain) seem slower this year. Maybe he’s still in golf mode. Who knows. 1

In the long run it’s good because it’ll force him to throw the ball.

Cubanmist
No he has not. Between him protecting a broken hand, coaches and advisors telling him to protect his body, and running a new scheme has humbled him. Perhaps, he is preserving his body for games that matter. 1
balln
Teams are just much more gameplanning for his running. Often a spy. Vs the jets in one red zone play they had TWO . TWO spies (BB and mannings credit). The days of man to man running all deep w no one in the middle field / or Kiki Alonso are over
