safety is a big need. it's bang for the buck might be the best.

any WR's out there would be cheap and probably not significant to the team because we can't afford them.

If this is in season right now...I think the most probable answer is Safety given they have already mentioned Hyde again this week and if there was someone who was most likely going to be added, I think it's him.

y'all see the game the other night? it's DL for me, and it isn't close. I'm sick of watching our DL have zero impact whatsoever in every remotely big / important game.

disagree. with all the draft picks and money they’ve put into that unit the last few years it’s still not working.

budda baker is a FA next season. safety is a huge problem for us. camryn bynum, julian blackmon and jevon holland too. all 3 are young and productive.

devin white could also be a significant addiction. solid LB and young.

Hopefully the Lions win the Super Bowl and we can hire Ben Johnson

You do understand the complete ramifications (for the negative) of changing coaching staff mid way thru Allen's career?

I'd think he gets his choice of assistants.  Which means new schemes, etc.   Which then means new personnel needs to be drafted or traded for.  All of this means TIME.  Our personnel currently fits the schemes we are playing, in all three phases.

This isn't the best idea given Allens limited career lifespan.  It's just not as simple as "lets fire the coach!"

McD is a very good coach.  I'm sorry he isn't 17-0 each year, but changing out would be a total and complete waste of Allen imo.

No one is going 17-0 but do you have any confidence we are going to beat an elite team in the playoffs past the divisional round.

Many think keeping him is a waste of Allen. We have to see how the season ends up, but there is no reason to billieve this year will be any different.

Absolutely.

It'll happen.  Only one team wins each year.  I have full faith in McD.  And Beane.

We'll get our Lombardi with JA17

WR or DE would have the most impact, but there aren't a lot of DEs up for trade and the ones we have are decent enough. So I'd go WR, as it's arguably the 2nd most important position in football.

You can create schemes to help your Safeties ...

You can help your QB get the ball to guys, like protecting him (cough)

If your Kicker is bad you can't hide it ... The way Bass is going it's a matter of when, not if he costs the team a game.

True...

But here's my logic.  I want to score TDs, not FGs.

And I want our D to stop TDs.

DT?  Not our biggest problem.

Safety?  DE?  Both tempted me.

WR?   Bingo!

To maximize Josh's productivity, I dream of seeing him behind a solid OL with open receivers streaking across the field.  We've seen some nice pockets this year though the Ravens game was disappointing.  We have NOT seen enough separation from the wideouts.

If I had the $31M of dead cap from the Diggs stupidity, I would give the entire Steelers organization an open bar for a week and then take TJ Watt off their hands.  Since that is unlikely, I would have drafted a WR who can get open this year.
