I think we may draft more than one if Daquan really has hit the wall. Oliver needs a solid 1-tech next to him and those can be found on day 2 and 3. But hopefully we also find another pass rusher? don’t solid 1 techs normally have to age and fill out a bit until they are at least 25-27. Quote
Ben Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 I just posted in another thread but deonne walker from KY is exactly what we need might have to trade up from pick 32 though 1 Quote

That being said, I dont know that it would work... I dont know that he even has the technique ability (which I think is more important) to pull that off... I just see someone struggling and wonder if a position change doesnt help him. He seems like a tweener in the DT spot and with out a dominant opposite tackle to draw double teams I wonder how effective he ever might be... he has always been a bit streaky... now he does rise to the all pro level when he celebrates the plays he actually does make... but my point is maybe try... see what happens... but again, I dont hold out a lot of hope that he would succeed there... its a totally different environment and technique... kinda like asking Torrence to go play left tackle.. Buffalo03 Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 I'm confused....when did Ed Oliver go to Miami? 2 Quote
ganesh Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 Oliver role in this Bills defense has always been to keep the pressure on the inside and get to the QB. They did not write in his contract that he must tackle RBs 🙂 Quote
Success Posted Sunday at 10:24 PM Posted Sunday at 10:24 PM Did Oliver play today? He wasn't in the stats when I checked. Quote

GunnerBill Posted Sunday at 10:29 PM Posted Sunday at 10:29 PM He did make a mistake on the first Nix scramble on that drive early 4th. Got greedy and followed Jones through the same gap when he should have stayed disciplined and it allowed Nix a hole to run through. Quote

Different season, same player. 😞 He was fine and when you keep a good team scoreless for 31/2 quarters and shut their run game down, fans are clueless to complain about a rotational tackle. They had pressure on the edges and Nix was forced into errant throws on many drives. Just take a great win with some perspective. 2 1 Quote
