I did not know he was sentenced yet.

I actually don't either.

I remember he got arrested more than once (a DV or DUI in addition to the coke?) and figured he was so dumb he was going into lockdown at some point.

Full disclosure - I didn't like the Ray Davis pick. However, he's a Bill now so that means I am going to root that he is the second coming of Thurman Thomas.

I saw a lot of love for the kid in preseason. Even some rumbling that if he could push Cook for the #1 job.

Now at the quarter mark of the season, I'm wondering what is going on.

Ray Davis' stats. 26 for 75 and 1 TD. Y/A is 2.9. 3 catches for 14 yards.

To my eye, it feels like whenever he is in the game, the defense is keying into the run. They are usually right, and it's almost always 2nd and medium that ends with 3rd and medium.

So how do the Bills get Davis going?

I know, I don't get what you're confused about?  I think you might want to go back and read my post.  I think you're trying to argue, just to argue.

You're saying the love for him in the pre-season and that he could push Cook for the #1 spot was wrong and used stats from just a quarter of the season

I mean I clearly didn’t say that. I said “how do the Bills get Ray Davis going.”

I get it’s fun to try to dunk on people. But Ray wasn’t all that effective in the first Q of the season when I wrote the topic. He didn’t look like he was pushing Cook for the job when I hit publish.

Several other posters said he was no better than Ty Johnson lol. And I get swarmed by the peanut gallery for saying “how do we get this guy producing better.”

Oh well. The curse of being in the arena is suffering the slings and arrows of the critics too afraid to have original takes themselves.

Darrin Lee is going to be a linebacker who will last a long time in this league with his hybrid versatility. I promise! Just needs more time.

Darron Lee (sp) skipped court case in April 2023 and nothing has been reported since.

I agreed with you for only saying it then, you rube.  I thought you'd be intelligent enough to go back and see that.  My apologies for assuming that.

I think Ray Davis in the passing game is a nice wrinkle. Teams have largely when he comes in tried to key in on run. It means if he catches a pass and he breaks a tackle or two he can hit a big one. You gotta find the balance where you keep that as an element of surprise but go to it when you need it.

They should figure out a way to line up both Cook and Davis in the back field.  Josh now has 4 options....give the ball to the backs or throw the ball to them.   Since both of them can accelerate in space, this could be a deadly combination
