eball
I’m going to disagree with @GunnerBill here and say that based upon what I’ve been watching I think Davis does demonstrate excellent vision as a runner.

It has to be...otherwise, it is not possible for him to consistently pull off those 7-8 yard runs on 1st down.
Sweats
Oh, ye all of little faith......i've been yelling from the rooftops since we drafted Ray, that he is something special and you're seeing what he brings to the team, both on and off the field. Never have i wanted more to ever see a guy succeed in this league. He was special in college (i don't think he ever got the credit he deserved) and he is a guy that teams have to game plan for every week.......Cook and Davis, as a one-two punch and just like yesterday, if D's fail to keep an eye on him, he slips through the cracks and runs it straight to the house. Bravo, my good man......bravo. 4
TD716
He needed more than 9 snaps yesterday. Cook was struggling to break tackles. Davis doesn’t have that problem
JP51
He sure gonna make it easier to decide what to do when Cook is looking for a big contract....

Balance and strength when hit behind the line, might be the best run of his career. I think the Bills are using the RB room spot on. But that’s just me! 2 2

But he dropped an easy catch - No way Davis (or Johnson) drops that catch. They're a good 1-2-3 (?) punch but I think we've seen enough to conclude Cook does not have great hands. He offers alot in other dimensions, though, thankfully. Edited Monday at 03:19 PM by TheWei44

Fair enough but he is also more likely to take any play to the house. So some drops no argument just think the Bills have it right currently. The least of my concerns about the Bills is rb rotation. Injuries, D run issues, and game management in that order for me. Having said that 7-2 with a realistic shot at the 2seed, this year exceeding my expectations.
Jauronimo
Ray Davis is the only RB I have ever seen who stands completely upright when lining up in the backfield. We were talking about what a disadvantage that must be in getting up to speed right before he ripped off a 70 yard TD.

He’s like a faster low to the ground guy than Singletary in some ways.

I said “how do the Bills get Ray Davis going.” I get it’s fun to try to dunk on people. But Ray wasn’t all that effective in the first Q of the season when I wrote the topic. He didn’t look like he was pushing Cook for the job when I hit publish. Several other posters said he was no better than Ty Johnson lol. And I get swarmed by the peanut gallery for saying “how do we get this guy producing better.” Oh well. The curse of being in the arena is suffering the slings and arrows of the critics too afraid to have original takes themselves. You weren't wrong based on his play in the first quarter of the season. But fortunately he's exploded as a very strong and reliable backup to James. We're in very good depth shape with Cook, Davis & Johnson.

Ashton Gentry for Boise state should win the Heisman and he stands completely upright It looks like he doesn't care before the snap Edited Monday at 11:13 PM by Buffalo716
