Biden is Mentally Fit
Just now, K D said: How is the mainstream media going to spin this one? Vance smoked him. I'm really curious how they will respond That the VP debate is never a game changer. It isn’t. Doesn’t change the fact that Walz is overmatched in his role. The true believers see him as “a real man of the people” and “instantly likable and relatable”. The entire election comes down to Trump.

Yup, Trump lost ground during the debate in the betting market. Vance came off slick. Just because he sounded good doesn’t mean he won. He has the lowest favorability of all 4 candidates. That will probably go up a little after tonight. The good thing about the debate was we can look forward to better debates like this in a post Trump era.

I thought Harris won against Trump pretty convincingly while Vance was a little better than Walz in this one. Backintheday544
Well per WaPos post debate poll, Vance is still very very unfavorable https://www.washingtonpost.com/elections/interactive/2024/vice-presidential-debate-voter-poll/ Edited October 2 by Backintheday544 1

I think Vance made the point that she had 3.5 years to fix things and she didn't. I think that moves the needle for undecided. Immigration and the economy are the 2 biggest issues for voters and Vance won on both of those topics.

That’s my immediate reaction as well. But I’m not an undecided voter, so I can’t say how others will react. Will be interesting to see what the focus groups and polling shows. BillsFanNC
Walz did better than expected, but expectations were low. Vance wiped the floor with him. If you think that was close you might have just a bit of green in the sky you live under.

Vance also pointed out how Trump couldn’t fix things because of Congress. Its weird how he thinks Harris as VP has this super power to fix things but didn’t yet Trump as President with control of the Senate and House just couldn’t fix things because of Congress. Great point JD
