Ravens are coached tough.  They have a defense that wants to muck it up.  Even when Allen was sliding he was getting contact from defenders.

its a man’s league, you are going to take hits.  But the Bills nickel setup isnt laying the lumber like the ravens will

Ravens were playing dirty the whole game. I really wish the Bills had an enforcer type to retaliate when such happens. After Allen got cheap shotted late, someone should have taken out Lamar late on the next series. The lack of fight is just as worrying as those Sabres teams that let opponents run their goalies and others.

McDermott is a nice god fearing man.  He's not going to employ an enforcer on his team.  He's a team character coach, not dirty

And what happened? Oh a flag. How many did the Ratbirds draw? Zero. They were protected from themselves all game.

Do you realize how mentally fragile it comes across when people move goalposts to somehow blame officials for something? Not you, of course because I would never accuse you of that.

Sorry, IDGAF about who is flagged for what. Scumbag behavior is scumbag behavior and Smoot showed a scummy side of himself. Kind of hypocritical to yell about a team playing dirty when your team did the same.

Or are you part of the "Rules for thee but not for me" society?

Dirty hit on the trick play.  Unnecessary.

I thought there should have been a penalty for roughing the passer on that play.  Which was a stupid thing to call during the only point in the game where it looked like the Bills could come back.

The last time the Bills played the Ravens in Baltimore, the Ravens took a big lead and the Bills came back to win.  The Ravens also collapsed against the Cowboys, barely holding on to win that game.  If the Bills had been able to come back from THAT deficit last night, it would have broken the back of the Ravens.  As it was, one stupid trick play completely ended the Bills' chances.

Is this your interpretation of playing more physical than the bills?

Ball was gone from Allen's hand on the trick play and Ravens player decked him late fully extending his arms and another Bills player had his eye gouged but go on and defend cheap play.

The Bills are soft, soft, soft on defense and have been for years.  However, the offense suprised me last night with the lack of physicality in their play as they can bring it at times up front.  That hit by the Raven's lineman was legal (though excessive) in my mind.  What I didn't like is that no one jumped in there to defend Josh.  Perfect time for an on field fight.  We know how this movie ends and it won't be with a Super Bowl victory.  The Bills have ben exposed as pretenders again.  And for those who say this is an overreaction, you haven't been paying attention.

Unwanted advice....1) Pegula!  Wake the F-up!!!  You need to change the front office and coaching staff after this year.

                                 2) Josh, you don't deserve this nonsense.  If #1 doesn't happen, you need to get off this shipwreck and save yourself as soon                                               as possible.  You don't owe the Bills a damn thing.

Flame away and wake me when we win the Super Bowl.  I'll be watching every game like I have for the past 55 years and probably drinking more.  Cheers!

This is the same team that looked on with indifference when Gronk threw a macho man flying elbow into the back of Tre White's neck.  It's a mentality better suited for the league's eventual conversion into flag football.

I wanted to revive this topic sooner, but I was kind of busy getting hit by a gigantic hurricane!

It seemed as though the Texans followed the Ravens lead and came after Allen and left a bigger faster spy to "lay the lumber" on every one of his rollouts or pocket escapes culminating with the controversial concussion-possible hit.

I know the Texans and Ravens have good Defenses, but the Jets certainly have the defensive personnel to replicate what the Texans and Ravens did to the Bills.

So that begs the question: What can the Bills Offense do to counteract this defensive strategy??

I don't think even a tough guy like Josh can make it through many more weeks similar to the last 2 weeks!!

We're watching the "Andrew Luck" treatment of Allen in real time.  In the season opener the injury was due to Allen's leap to score a TD.  A leap BTW which came close to sealing the victory against the Cards.  So it was justified.  The last two games have seen Allen take brutal hits due to bad play design & the inability to execute properly.

That's actually my biggest concern for Monday night: Will Josh get abused to the point where it threatens this season (and beyond)?  In a way, for different reasons, both teams' fans should be very worried about the health of their QBs Monday night.

He was unconscious for a few seconds (look at the head and the arm)

It is a concussion

This topic is OLD. A NEW topic should be started unless there is a very specific reason to revive this one.
