Simon
I like the story that Johnny Cash used to tell about Kristofferson stealing a helicopter (he was actually a chopper pilot in the Army) flying it to Cash's house with a demo to make him listen to it, then landing in his yard and getting out with a beer in his hand. Kristofferson said it's only partly true. He only "borrowed" the helicopter (from the Army, who didn't know ) and he didn't have a beer in his hand because it's too hard to fly a chopper one-handed (coming from a guy who had already been grounded for flying drunk ). I cannot imagine what the post-show room would have been like with him, Cash, Willie and Waylon when they were playing together. 1 1

That’s the thing, even if you’re there you’re not really sure what happened. You could say the same thing the next day! 😂

Speaking of Kristofferson, he wrote one of my favorite hymns called “Why Me Lord?”, Johnny Cash and Ray Charles do a great cover of it.. Anyways I’m sad to see him pass..
