The common theme is a lack of downfield receiving talent.

Yes.  This is what we all expected, so it's not surprising to see.

Coleman will get better, but how much and how quickly?

I think Beane will be tempted at the trade deadline to add more speed at WR (then cut MVS).

Frustrating.

Brady's worst game for us by some distance. When you are physically second best, you need your brains. But he's not a hugely creative guy.

I dont think it's on brady at all. They were humming down the feild and bad penalties derailed them. And you blink twice and your down 18, tough to have a run game down 18 with a non existent D. Also torrence has gotten josh nearly killed twice and is a huge liability right now. And brady didn't drop a game changing pass off his shoulder pads.

Every single thing that Baltimore is running is directly targeted at a Bills backup.

Spector, Lewis, Williams (and Hamlin, who will be Bishop's backup at some point and porobably would be already if not for the preseason injruy)) are being attacked on every snap.

You put Johnson, Milan and Bernard in there and this is a very different looking ballgame, imo

Agreed, all of Baltimore’s big plays and scoring plays have been directly against our backup LBs and Safeties. Baltimore not even targeting the CBs (why would you).

That's actually ridiculous.  We need a stronger term than "hot take."

We passed on Ladd McConkey and this guy years better than Coleman. He was all over the field today for the Chargers.  Worthy is making plays for KC, so is McConkey for the Chargers.  Coleman is not even on the same page as these other guys.

Jaw is on the floor. Who are these fans?

Team is bad tonight, but man, the definitive proclamations about our season being over, players being bad, et al.  We sound like children.

They are getting exposed for what they still are despite their sell campaign about being bigger and tougher. Soft.

It's frustrating as hell to watch.

He should have just said "I don't know...do you? Seriously, DO you?!?!"

His guys are playing themselves out of position- either pre snap or post snap making late or poor reads. That’s coaching that in that you hope they react better by coaching but it’s mostly just talent issue. There’s a reason these guys were cheap/low round back ups

I was being more critical of play call there, not the decision to throw it.  Something underneath for 6-7 yards gave us 2 downs to keep it moving.  Maybe there was a read they had which made it make sense, but in general I would have preferred a safer call in that specific situation.

The lack of mid range passing game is a huge worry.

Because they're not throwing anything downfield.  3 yard outs aren't going to get it done.

The Baltimore secondary played most of the first half protecting the deepest parts of the field.

There was nothing there.

D-line is getting manhandled.  Even if they are targeting the replacements, they're not making contact with anyone within 10 yards from the line of scrimmage
