Hurricane Helene

We went to Damascus today.  It's a mess but recovering well.  FEMA was there, Virginia EMA and the United Way.  There's an old medium sized box store full of supplies.  They're not accepting more.  There were residents picking up food, water, clothing, snacks...  The state police were there when we finished our shift.  You sign a waiver, write your name on a piece of tape to put on your shirt and tie piece of knitting wool on your wrist.  We carpooled into the rectory of the Methodist church.  Underneath was choked with soaked insulation, mud, trees, windows, some tools, all kinds of stuff.  A lady from the church brought lunch.  The rest of town is like a big construction site especially in the area we were in.  The house next door was off its foundation, broken in half, with a nissan sentra wedged under the garage half.'  At the volunteer center they also had nurses giving free vaccines.  They didn't need a doc today.  It's going to set back the people and the town but the recovery effort  was impressive.

comrade, it would be more effective if you showed the picture from the photo op and confirmed what was done with the supplies.  Oh and please don't disclose the political affiliation of the "whistle blower".  Be better.  signed, your boss.

Wait.  So now the left is back for censorship vs accusing the right of doing it.

Your made up fantasies about FEMA are driving loser hillbillies to attack the aid workers. There should be consequences.

Reads like another story from the usual sources with no integrity.

Like I said.  You guys flipped back to supporting censorship vs accusing the right of wanting that.

Sounds like a game of Clue: It was Jussie Smoltte, in the library, with Gretchen Witmer's Doritos.

Actual media sources are reporting it.

"On Saturday, FEMA workers had to halt their work in Rutherford County due to reports National Guard troops saw “armed militia” threatening the workers, according to the Washington Post, which cited an email to federal agencies helping with the response, verified by unnamed federal officials. It’s not clear if the threat was credible."

Stories in the usual places.

got to read past the headlines.  this happens to you guys a LOT.

seems like you would learn to check sources before raging.

I have no idea what your point is here. It says right there they’re receiving threats.
