Bill from NYC Posted September 27 Posted September 27 I'm not at all sure how to feel about this game. Georgia did lose Ladd McConkey and Brock Bowers (who I believe has the potential to be as good as or better than Kelce) to the draft. That is a lot to lose but they are still completely stacked with talented players. Let's face it, UGA is a powerhouse, fantastic team. Their great RG is out, but my guess is that they will just replace him with another monster. Kirby is a flat out sensational coach and possibly an even better recruiter. Alabama has a great ground attack, they are 5 deep at tight end, and have excellent receivers. The OL is fine. QB? I wish I could say that I fully trust Milroe but I do not. He is slow to make decisions at times and has taken sacks when he could have ran for huge yardage. Milroe is a sensational runner but he really isn't the best scrambler. He has plenty of wide receivers but the big story is freshman Ryan Williams. Yeah, 28 receptions/285 yds./28.5 yds. per reception/ 4 TDs. Sounds good, right? He is 17 YEARS OLD!!!! I really do hope that he stays healthy. Oh, and I wish Nick Saban was still on the sidelines. In any event, this should be a wonderful game for folks who truly do appreciate college football. I hope that no player on either team suffers an injury. ROLL TIDE ROLL!!! 1 Quote
US Egg Posted September 28 Posted September 28 My step-brother is from Alabama, I became a fan 25 yrs. ago. Also made me a fan of Alabama’s “Red Neck Riviera” on the gulf. Don’t know if the ocean has to do with it, but ROLL TIDE ROLL. 1 Quote
Ridgewaycynic2013 Posted September 28 Posted September 28 There are a few past and present members of TBD that are hoping that Alabama "wins one for the (Robert) Foster". 😉😁 Quote

Georgia didn't look too good on their first drive. Alabama scored on both of theirs they're up 14-0. Roll tide Beck intercepted. So far two drives from Georgia. Not too good. DaBillsFanSince1973 Posted September 29 Posted September 29 (edited) Seems those game day folks may have known what they're talking about. Still early first quarter. Bama gets seven more from the turnover. 21-0 Roll tide! Edited September 29 by DaBillsFanSince1973 Quote

DaBillsFanSince1973 Posted September 29 Posted September 29 Georgia making a comeback. A lot of time left they could come back and win it. Failed miserably on the two-point conversion with an offensive pass interference. Had to settle for one. 28-7 Roll tide! Quote
DaBillsFanSince1973 Posted September 29 Posted September 29 I'm thinking those game day folks did know what they were talking about. Seems Georgia just doesn't look very good tonight. After the safety. 30-7 Roll tide!! Quote
Talley56 Posted September 29 Posted September 29 Seeing a lot of people on twitter whining that it shouldn't have been intentional grounding on Georgia. Beck was clearly just throwing it out of desperation to avoid the safety and there was no one anywhere near the ball. Clear as day intentional grounding. The second I saw the ball hit the ground I was even wondering where the grounding call was. The only bad part about the call was the fact that the refs took so long to call it. 2 Quote
DaBillsFanSince1973 Posted September 29 Posted September 29 A lot of football left to play. Some serious adjustments on George's side of the ball need to be made. They play anything like they did in the first half they're not going to have any chance of winning this game. I'm siding with the game day folks. I believe Alabama wins this one. Roll tide! Quote

I have no "dawg" in this fight, but the reason that there was no one anywhere near the ball was that the 'Bama corner committed an illegal contact penalty in the middle of the guy's route. If that penalty gets called (as it probably should have) there is no grounding call. Quote
Simon Posted September 29 Posted September 29 Bama has got to stop playing the clock and start playing the scoreboard. They're going to lose this game because they stopped attacking. Quote
Talley56 Posted September 29 Posted September 29 Crazy ending. It just seems like Georgia has been physically dominant in every way in the 2nd half. Quote
