look things are going well.  that doesnt mean that you wont need a player like Hopkins at some point.  if you can get him for a late round pick.  y not try it?   i get not wanting to disturb whats cooking here,  but theres never been an indication that Hopkins is a locker room problem.  hes been paid,  im sure he'd love to ball out for a chance at a ring.

I’m in the camp of let’s get younger with extended contracts.  This year we’ll see what we have, hopefully use our 1st or 2nd round pick in another WR (preferably like Shakir), and then we’ll hopefully get better.

There are other opportunities, but none more pressing than WR.  We’ll know by the end of the year if we have our Safeties in hand, we have our D Line and LB’s.

On offense we have one of the best O Lines in the NFL, the 4th best RB from last year, the best TE tandem in football, and a unicorn in a QB.  One can make a case for a late rd pick for a K, and of course more depth.  I also advocate the case extending rising stars is excellent like Benford, Douglas is a consideration, GROOT of course, etc.  We need this gang together, not over priced free agents.  We have a lot of picks next year.

I know this is really a February topic, amd honestly I’m bored from this dumb Hurricane that will blow past us again in Tampa.  It’s already almost Tallahassee bound and will be in NC by late morning.

after watching the giants/cowboys game… what’s the deal with jalin hyatt???

have they given up on him? he seems to be an afterthought and didn’t see that much production last year.

guy was an all american and won the belitnikoff his junior season at tennessee. would he be worth enquiring if something goes wrong at receiver?

I can see us adding a speed demon in the draft, but not another big guy like Keon and Mack. Add someone who gives us a different skillset -- Aguy that can stretch a defense and keep Safeties back.

No.

Hes always hurt. Hes selfish and he’s just not that good anymore .

I think it’s the wrong message to send to the young WR group could hurt their confidence.

no more wr saviors.   They do not accomplish anything and they will screw up your locker room and your cap.

Dallas is about to get hammered over the next month of their schedule.  I wouldn’t be surprised if they make a move for him at some point.  It worked for them in 2018.

I doubt it, until it’s proven the Bills are not succeeding with the present crew.  An injury could also change things.

its all injury related.  bunch of guys go down,Keon for example... maybe.  DHop can be really good for a short period

I'm not watching tape on him, but he was once awesome.  At this point, I want him only if Beane wants him.  If we get him, it will signal to me that Beane and McD see that there is something still there that could help us.  I absolutely will not question them if they let him pass.

I think McBeane are hoping that Keon develops into that downfield/outside threat that Badol is rightly concerned about.

We’ve gotta let it play out a while before we need to entertain the need for a WR trade.

I wouldn’t be against it at the right trade price if it’s obvious by the trade deadline we can’t exploit every area of the field. I share the concern that if we can’t exploit the deep and outside areas that teams will gameplan against what we like to do with that in mind, but that hasn’t been shown yet since we have been boat racing teams early.

It’s not that I wouldn’t want him on the team, but I don’t think that he’s going to be worth what we’d have to give up for him. Some team in contention with an injury at wide receiver will pony up more than they otherwise should.  if the injury bug hits our wide receiver room then that’s one thing, but as it stands I’m not interested in giving up substantial assets for a one-year rental of a declining player.

Take this with a grain of salt, but given the Titans start, it seems almost a given that he will want out & they would look to accommodate that (if things don’t turn around for them).

I mean if Brady and his team feel there is a role, then why not but imo he'd just take snaps from Keon and much rather the rookie to develop vs bringing an aging vet , qho has looked subpar since last year

Nooooo

Injuries can and do happen in the NFL, so let's not be too certain that all the current receivers on the Bills team will be healthy at the deadline.

Yes, interested.

He shouldn't command much in trade and the Titans might eat most of his salary.

Not the ideal target he would have been for last year's offense but he could give them a big boost outside and his very good hands fit the profile.   Nice guy for Keon to learn how to play outside from as well.

You're not getting serious late-career Julio Jones and AJ Green vibes with Hopkins at this point? I am.  Hemingway:

“How did you go bankrupt?” Bill asked. “Two ways,” Mike said. “Gradually and then suddenly.”

That's my feeling about these late-career receivers, and OBJ looks like another strong candidate for the suddenly-bankrupt club.

I think Amari Cooper would be a better option.

  • He's more likely to get traded because the Browns aren't trying to develop a young QB
  • He's two years younger
  • He's faster, so he's more likely to be what we're lacking

I would in heart beat

When you get to the playoffs I want a guy who has actually won battles one on one before in key moments

We currently have smallish wr's or inexperienced guys and we saw what happened when the Chiefs got real handsy in the playoffs a few seasons ago against our smaller wr's

This is our #1 or #2 tallest, largest, toughest WR corps in the history of the team.
