Let's hope he helps us win the super bowl The eye test and data disagree with you So he averages 1 sack per every 76 snaps (and I think giving him that as a season average is generous IMO because it is 1 in 137 snaps since his suspension, but I'll go with the generous interpretation) if you multiply that by Groot's usage (as our most used edge player) you get 8.5 sacks on the season. So that is what the data suggests. And as I say I think giving him a season average when 3 of his sacks were the first three weeks is generous. He has had two really good games by the eye test. The first Miami game and the Indy game. 2 1 Quote

Warriorspikes51 Posted Thursday at 09:52 PM Posted Thursday at 09:52 PM Very high potential. Should have been on the field over Toohill and it’s not close 2 Quote

I like Solomon's potential and his athletic archetype. He has some hugh Douglas, James Harrison potential imo. I think he's a potential breakout candidate next year and I'd like to get him a few more reps now. But dude.... Go back and watch the first series vs Detroit. Von Miller completely blew past Sewell ( maybe the best lineman in the NFL) and got a huge pressure. He's not prime Von anymore but he is still very valuable as a pass rush specialist and can be critical in a playoff run pressuring the QB, getting a sack etc. Like his presence alone with Groot keeps QBs from taking long traditional drop backs. We need to actually live in reality. I think Von is rated like 19th out of 200+ eligible edge rushers in pass rush productivity. He was big vs KC too ... His pff pass rusher grade is 75. He's been very effective for us this year in a limited role. He's here to be a closer in the playoffs. Von Miller even at his age now is still a legitimate top 10-15ish pass rusher. He can beat you in so many different ways and we absolutely need him to win the super bowl imo. Some of the Von disrespect is frickin bizarre and wild I guarantee you that dude is going to be huge for us in the playoffs. Von has earned the disrespect he has garnered around here. At best, he is a very hollow shell of his former self. I can't recall anyone who so routinely quits on plays after he makes his initial pass rush attempts. It's time to move on.... Quote

Obviously at his age he's not here to play 90% of the snaps and get 12-15 sacks.... Here's here for the playoffs The eye test and all the metrics point to him still being a premium pass rusher. SCBills Posted yesterday at 02:45 PM Posted yesterday at 02:45 PM To keep it on Javon Solomon, it probably says something about him that they were cool putting Toohill on the PS.. that, and Smoot coming back and looking healthy. In regards to Von, I think we’re going to see an uptick of his snaps in the playoffs. He knows that’s why he’s here and his play honestly does warrant an uptick. 1 Quote

If Von ends up having an impact in the superbowl then he’s been worth every penny. For what it’s worth, his strongest game last year came in the divisional against the Chiefs. He can still crank it up when he wants to. 1 Quote
