Teams will only move on from Ben Johnson if Detroit's offense starts to slow down and he can't adjust.  I don't think there will be much of that "he doesn't really want to be a HC" vibe.  He knows he's good and he can afford to wait for the right situation.

Personally, I think any OC who has Prime Josh Allen as his QB would be crazy to leave for ANY other situation, HC or OC, without first hoisting at least one Lombardi.

Not sure I agree with that. It's still a people business first and foremost. If word gets out that he leads you up the path and then ultimately won't commit it will count against him. When your name gets a mark against it in the league it can be tough to overcome. I think he will get interviews this year. But I doubt he sweeps the board for interview requests as he has the last two years.

That's fair.

Von is only an inch and a half taller than Solomon.  He definitely isn't prototypical height, but has really long arms and huge production on every level.

I'm not at all saying he will be Von, but don't totally rule him out just because of his height.

I'm not ruling it out but I just think it will be hard at that height to be a 3 down 4-3 DE

Von isn't an every down edge anymore but he has 3 sacks in 3 weeks.

Anyone who can consistently pressure the QB has great value in the NFL.

Whether or not Javon can be an every down edge isn't really that important.

JMO.

You know who else no one is talking about?

David Edwards.

People have talked about the OL quite a bit, but you always hear about Dawkins being the anchor (and his podcast/media appearances), Spencer Brown's improvement & new contract, McGovern's move to Center, or Torrence because of where he was drafted & starting all those games as a rookie.

But Edwards? Radio silence. I'm guessing that's a good thing, as that means he's not making any big mistakes or giving up a ton of pressures.

If the OL plays at a level near what they have so far in Baltimore....that would be super impressive.

Chance to be widely recognized as a Top OL right now.

Yep. Yet another hat tip to Beane’s scouting group.
Did we cut any picks this year? We had 10..

Beane has been on absolute fire the last couple drafts. I always laugh when people try to claim the Bills are only Josh Allen and a bunch of JAGS. We have talent scattered on all sides of the ball.  The only drawback is since losing Diggs, we don’t have any true elite blue chip skill players on offense. James Cook has a chance if he can keep pace for the season.  Honestly though, it’s starting to make more sense having a roster full of “really good” players w/ their own unique skill set along with depth with no huge drop off opposed to a couple game wreckers eating a ton of salary cap. Yes, it would be nice to have someone like Justin Jefferson, but If I am going to shell out that type of bread, it’s going to be towards the trenches.

It’s going to start w/ the big guys. This is the most “push” I’ve seen from a Bills O-Line in quite a long time. Baltimore’s D-line is going to be their biggest test so far. Getting the RBs going EARLY is going to pay huge dividends. Hopefully, Allen won’t have to put on his cape, but it’s a good insurance policy either way. I think Brady will have a nice game plan “cooked” up. This game has massive implications for the AFC as a whole and the #1 seed. Plus, they have the Texans & Jets coming up, 2 more tough AFC matchups.

Looking forward to seeing him get more playing time in these last 3 games. He looked good in his limited reps against the Lions and should've had a sack on Goff who somehow spun out of it.

Agreed.

I have said this before. This is the kind of guy that would have like 10 sacks on a drought era team.  He just never gets chances here to play.

I'm not sure why Von Miller gets reps over this guy. I'd rather the young guy get reps and he's probably better at this point anyway.

It’s pretty obvious why to be honest, Von is making a lot of money and it’s Von Miller. I want to see more Solomon, I’m excited about his upside.

Trust me, Von will be released this spring and Javon's snaps will rise. Goff isn't that elusive...he's gotta nail down that one.

He's a rookie from a small school. The fact that he's actually getting playing time is a good indication of his potential.

Solomon has been uselesss against the run.   Miller has actually been pretty good against the run.   That is why.   But hopefully Solomon is improving and it would be great if he can make an impact down the stretch or in the playoffs.  He brings a speed element they do not have.

Here is to hoping there is solid potential here coming from a smaller college program... He has Von this year... next year he is up... or at least has a chance to earn it...

I'm not trying to be mean but dude we gotta live in reality.

I like Solomon's potential and his athletic archetype. He has some hugh Douglas, James Harrison potential imo. I think he's a potential breakout candidate next year and I'd like to get him a few more reps now.

But dude....

Go back and watch the first series vs Detroit. Von Miller completely blew past Sewell ( maybe the best lineman in the NFL) and got a huge pressure.

He's not prime Von anymore but he is still very valuable as a pass rush specialist and can be critical in a playoff run pressuring the QB, getting a sack etc.

Like his presence alone with Groot keeps QBs from taking long traditional drop backs.

We need to actually live in reality. I think Von is rated like 19th out of 200+ eligible edge rushers in pass rush productivity. He was big vs KC too ... His pff pass rusher grade is 75. He's been very effective for us this year in a limited role. He's here to be a closer in the playoffs.

Von Miller even at his age now is still a legitimate top 10-15ish pass rusher. He can beat you in so many different ways and we absolutely need him to win the super bowl imo.

Some of the Von disrespect is frickin bizarre and wild

I guarantee you that dude is going to be huge for us in the playoffs.

Because Von Miller is playing at a pretty high level.  With that said I would like to see the rook get more snaps
