That is what I am going with.

Struck out this morning on acquiring a 5lb+ roast beef on sale since the sale ended yesterday.

Will procure one tomorrow morning and marinate it white wine and non-salt spices and herbs for 48+ hours to throw on the rotisserie on Sunday Afternoon.

What bread is used for these Pit Beef Sandwiches in Baltimore?

Pretty sure the only time i had an "authentic" one it was on a Kaiser roll.

But good on you, i would have no idea how to properly cook a pit beef anything.  or beef on weck for that matter. enjoy.

So my early thoughts are to make my Garlic Butter Stuffed with Crab Giant Mushrooms as an appetizer and Pit Beef Sandwiches.

Any ideas?

Well my first idea is to stuff the mushroom and not the garlic butter.

The garlic butter is used to brush the outside of the stuffed mushroom so it bakes or grills into the mushroom.

I usually use very large White Button Mushrooms but since this is such a BIG game for the Bills I may use Portobello Mushrooms.

Annapolis is a cool city, and the crab cakes are admittedly excellent there!

Scored a 5 lb Fillet Mignon at my local packers early this morning that was Ungraded and Manager's Special.

It is a thing of beauty!!!

Got it already in the back of the fridge under the juice of two fresh lemons, a dash or two of Bragg Liquid Soya Seasoning, No Salt Canadian Steak Spice and fresh course ground pepper I just ran through my electric spice mill (aka an old coffee bean grinder).

Will give it a flip every 12 hours until Sunday Afternoon.

In honour of my American Bills Brethren a bought 6 large Russet Potatoes from Idaho.

I also bought a 5 lb box of White Mushrooms that I will sort to use the largest to stuff the crab with and make mushroom gravy with the rest.

The Bassett Hound & Rescue came for the ride and ate a lot of Deli Ends on the ride home.

Great Dane got the two biggest pieces when I got home.

Everyone happy

I am still working through the left overs from the MNF game but eventually the focus needs to be on Baltimore.

Can't really source Blue Crab up here at any reasonable cost.

Pit Beef is certainly doable => Pit beef is a beef roast that is cooked over hot charcoal and then sliced paper-thin. It’s stacked on a roll, typically with onion, horseradish, and barbecue sauce. The iconic pit beef is grilled in many ways, from using wood-flavored barbecues, spicy sauces, or dry rubs.   https://www.koonsclarksvillechevybuickgmc.com/blogs/4775/7-iconic-foods-from-baltimore

I haven't used the meat slicer for a while so it will be refreshing to slice the roast "paper-thin".

I have to work a night shift that pretty much starts at kickoff.  My coworker has a antenna hooked to a monitor in our control room, so we will likely watch the game in between actual work tasks.

Back on topic, I will bring in a jar of smoked kokanee I caught and canned a few months ago, cream cheese, a jar of homemade peach/carolina Reaper jelly, and crackers.

Well I went to cosco yesterday and they had 3 bags of the frozen jombo whole shrimp left.  The guy at the counter said he just marked them down 15 pounds for 25 bucks.  Unfortunately like that other guy on the board I did actually leave my cc at home but had a hundred in my pocket.

Told the worker give me all 3 bags.

Bought my rice and pineapple.

Well Friday night me and the lady had shrimp scampi.

Sunday we are doing shrimp in a basket.

Easy recipe

Tin foil

Rice minute

Pineapple

Sea salt

Shrimp frozen

Grill for 15 minutes 😋

Yum yum
