Beck Water Posted September 25 Posted September 25 My top 4 things where I woulda said ......."you're kidding me" If anyone had told me the Steelers and Vikings would have the #1 and #2 Defense (points)..... (that 2nd round pick isn't looking like such a gem right now) If anyone had told me the Bills lost Milano, Taron Johnson, and Bernard, and were 3-0 with the #7 defense..... If anyone had told me Von Miller and Greg Rousseau both have 3 sacks..... If anyone had told me the Bills have a middle-of-the-pack passing offense (#14) but our offense is leading the league in points.... What are your top 4 "I didn't see this coming" "You're kidding me" NFL happenings so far this season? Quote
JP51 Posted September 25 Posted September 25 (edited) Love this.... agree with most of it. My top 4 things where I woulda said ......."you're kidding me" If anyone had told me the Steelers and Vikings would have the #1 and #2 Defense (points)..... (that 2nd round pick isn't looking like such a gem right now) 100% If anyone had told me the Bills lost Milano, Taron Johnson, and Bernard, and were 3-0 with the #7 defense..... (hate to say that doesnt totally shock me) If anyone had told me Von Miller and Greg Rousseau both have 3 sacks..... (I am like you happily stunned) If anyone had told me the Bills have a middle-of-the-pack passing offense (#14) but our offense is leading the league in points.... agreed What are your top 4 "I didn't see this coming" "You're kidding me" NFL happenings so far this season? Mine would be Cinci 0-3 Vons comeback Our ability to score TDs and spread the ball around - I always felt that we would be overall more balanced run/pass and get the ball to the open guy, but to the extent we have with the success we have is a great surprise Jacksonville 0-3 combined with how bad Lawrence has looked. Maine-iac Posted September 25 Posted September 25 Just because I don't see many people talking about it but if you had told me our kick returner would be averaging 50 yards a kickoff and 16 yards per punt return I never would have believed it. Beane strikes again. 1 Quote
Watkins101 Posted September 25 Posted September 25 1. Steelers being up 3 games on the Bengals. Not surprised that the Steelers defense is at the top of the league, but I am surprised their offense has produced enough to be undefeated so far. 2. Vikings being 3-0. Sam Darnold at QB and a tough schedule so far. Enough said. 3. Washington beating the Giants 21-18 with the Giants getting 3 TDs and the commanders getting 7 FG. Not the way you’d expect to see that score. 4. Jayden Daniels with a 80.3% completion percentage, topping the league. Any player with an 80%+ completion rate is shocking, but it being a rookie is even more so. 1 Quote

Seriously how many points have even been scored on us through 3 weeks with those losses. 2 hours ago, Watkins101 said: 4. Jayden Daniels with a 80.3% completion percentage, topping the league. BringBackFergy Posted September 25 Posted September 25 If someone told me "An Undrafted Rookie Free Agent from UB would fit right into the defense as a high caliber CB" I would have said "GTFO here". Quote

If i recall, the Steelers are averaging one TD a game and winning........if that was the Bills, fans would be calling for heads to roll. Quote
MarkyMannn Posted September 25 Posted September 25 Sam Darnold leading the league in TD passes. Good for him rebuilding his career 1 1 Quote
Gregg Posted September 25 Posted September 25 My 4 would be 1. Steelers at 3-0. Defense is good but the offense not so much. 2. Bengals at 0-3. Figured with Burrow back and an easy schedule they would challenge for the division. 3. Vikings being 3-0 as well. Didn't see this one coming especially with Darnold. 4. Rodgers playing well. He wasn't great his last year in GB. Now 40 going on 41 coming off a serious Achillies injury. I figured he would struggle some. Quote
freddyjj Posted September 25 Posted September 25 2 next door neighbors (Sam Darnold and Josh Allen) would be 1-2 in TDs thrown Quote
DasNootz Posted September 25 Posted September 25 1) Travis Kelce having only 8 receptions for 69 yards and no TDs in his first three games (two of which were primetime) 2) Buffalo's defense being dominant without Milano, Bernard or Johnson 3) Steelers, Vikings, Commanders and Bengals records 4) Andy Dalton's performance last week Quote
Don Otreply Posted September 25 Posted September 25 If anyone told any of us in the middle of the drought that we would be drafting a franchise QB in Josh Allen at #7 in 2017, and we would have won the AFCE four straight years, and likely a fifth year coming, who would have believed it back then? We fans knowingly or not are watching a potential juggernaut developing this season in Buffalo, if we can stay healthy it going to be one hell of a season, 🤞 Quote
Simon Posted September 25 Posted September 25 In Buffalo: > Spencer Brown going full dancing bear > Josh Allen reading short to long and actually liking it > Jamarcus Ingram running around wanting to whip everybody's ass > Watching 3+ qrtrs of Bills football with the horses in the barn Elsewhere > Aaron Rodgers still physically intact > Minnesota running away with our draft pick in its mouth > The mass destruction of survivor pools > 0'fer Cincinnati pining for Andy Dalton 1 Quote

DCofNC Posted September 25 Posted September 25 0 ints for Allen Cook looking like a true stud RB Defense playing lights out without a starting LB or starting caliber S (for anybody but McD) in sight. 3-0 start with the toughest game being AZ. Quote
