I want to reiterate something I pointed out in the post-game thread:

Khalil Shakir is our leading receiver with 14 targets. Out of those 14 targets, he has made 14 receptions for a completion percentage of 100%, three games in.

I haven't seen that mentioned anywhere in the media, and I'm not going to go through 31 other teams to get their receiving stats, but I kinda doubt that there is another receiver in the league who has done that.

Shakir leads all players 14/14.  Next is tyjae spears at 10/10.  Next WR is Devaughn Vele 8/8.

I really like what we've seen. The balanced offense is much better built for postseason football and to go up against top teams.

Defensively I love the way some of the guys have stepped up.....but obviously in McD's regime the D has given it up big time in just about every big game in just about every postseason. If his side of the ball can come through for once when it matters most...we really do have a solid shot at winning it all.

There's a big difference, though. Neither of those players lead their teams in targets. Vele has been inactive since week one (injured, I assume?).

I think Mack through 3 games is better than Davis ever was as a blocker, and that isn't a knock on Davis, that is all about how good Mack has been in this regard.  Mack Hollins to blocking right now reminds me of Dennis Rodman to rebounding.  He is all over the field like I have not really ever seen.  And I do think he still brings more reliability, awareness, and versatility as a pass catcher.

Is he running barefoot ?

Pretty sure they said on WGR this morning that Shakir is at 27 straight, and 29 is the NFL record.

Someone on twitter said it was 34...they might have been mistaken.  They probably added this week to the 27 not realizing it was already counted.  Not sure how to even look this info up to confirm, but either way, 27 is wild still.

Marino mentioned that it was 34 of 37 dating to last year.

It’s going to be interesting to see how our defense plays the Lamar/Henry run combo this week.
