There are thousands of college cornerbacks who don't even sniff the pros... Now if you want to make the disclaimer less than average NFL athlete that is more acceptable

 

But hes certainly not a less than average athlete for the general population

I'm sorry I did not clarify.  Wallace is certainly a far better athlete than the average American.  His athleticism is less than average for a starting NFL CB, maybe even less than average for all NFL cornerbacks, starter or backup.  Yes, he started for the Bills, several seasons and by all accounts played pretty well.  Yet there was always a hope among many fans that the Bills could upgrade from Wallace because he was vulnerable to big, fast, physical receivers.

I think we all know that's not a point he was making or arguing. I think you actually agree with his point, that he wasn't a great athlete compared to other NFL starting corners. Which is a true statement.
