Hopefully he doesn't become Marino and Beane manages to give him the tools necessary to win a Super Bowl. Dude should be the league MVP. Mahomes defense bails him out. Allen has often outplayed him.

Not Beane, McDermott.   I hated going ultra conservative in the 2nd half, and I won't ever forget 13 seconds.

I am crossing my fingers and hoping he can avoid the sort of niggling injuries that have befallen him at times the past two years (most of which have come in the pocket I should say not from rushing). Because at the moment Josh Allen looks more dialled in than I have ever seen him and more in control of this offense than at any point since 2020.

Keep him clean, keep protecting him, and he might not need a true #1 to win you know. He might be such an equaliser that as long as he is protected you can win with slot guys, tight ends, backs from the backfield and outside guys who block and make the odd play. There was another AFC East Quarterback who you could say that about I seem to recall.

There are tougher tests to come but hard to not be encouraged.

When did we go ultra conservative? Last night? Are you for real? We were still blitzing Mac Jones and we scored a touchdown on our final drive of the game. Where was the ultra conservatism? Seriously this is a crazy statement.

It comes down to "I hate McDermott for 13 seconds so I will take a shot at him even when it's not deserved." Fine.

Marino always had the tools, but he also had the Kelly-Thomas-Reed-Smith-Talley-Bennett Bills to contend with.  It was Marino's bad luck that he was at his best when the Bills were at THEIR best.

There have been five glory periods for the Bills.  Kemp/Saban    OJ/Saban   Fergie/Knox   All-Stars mentioned above/Levy   Now

Four times out of 54 years that the Bills were seriously competitive for an NFL championship, after the first great team won the AFL twice, and really only the last two where they actually had all the pieces to go all the way.

Beane has once again assembled the players McD needed, and look what's on the shelf waiting to come back:  Milano, Johnson, Bernard   Yeah, surprisingly to me since I thought this would be a down year, the Bills have what they need.  Injuries and McD's playoff brain farts are the only thing that can stop them.

i've been saying he's the goat of all time since we drafted him.

qb is the most important position in football by far, but it's a true team game, and coaching is part of the team.

we have some seasoning for our OC this season, a new DC (i think that's worth a lot, mcd was overworked a bit last season, and frazier is not a championship level guy), and a ton of continuity w the FO.

the top difference in this team vs prior teams is the old standard -- our big guys are better.  football is largely about beating people up, and both of our lines are better and most importantly playing better than they have since the kelly days.

It hurt a bit last night when they brought up that stat that over 5 years the Bills are the first team to ever win 63+ games and NOT be in a Super Bowl.  Ugh. It's all due to Mahomes and Reid.  We need to get over that hump.  Josh should have his name etched in the Super Bowl winning history books.  He's that good and yes, we will not see another one like him around here.

Lets look at it this way.

The Bills under Allen would never start 0-3.  Allen shows up to the game dressing like we did before HS Football games.  Burrow dresses up like a Lesbian Talk Show host who aspires to be a Backstreet Boy.

Not that there's anything wrong with that. 😁

Bengals are already done imo. They have seriously regressed, especially on D. Burrow had a good night but was helped out by defensive play calls that had a rookie corner in man on Chase twice, predictably resulting in two scores. Burrow is good but unlike Josh Allen he needs  to be surrounded by great players to look good.

I have this to say

He is over rated

he doesn’t study football enough

zero effort in the off season

it was all Stefan Diggs being a distraction during pass attempts and taking doubles

he needs to work out and stop playing so much golf

I started following Allen because of him going to my almamater the University of Wyoming. It's been absolute pleasure following his career to the Bills.

From his first start where he shattered his collar bone on his second drive, you could see talent right away, but I had no idea he would take over the NFL like he has.

I was a huge Jordan fan growing up and he won his first title in his 7th year here is to hoping Allen does the same.

Josh is a great QB, one of the best ever, but this offence is as much the result of Brady's creativity as a game planner and play caller. Dorsey's numbers were good but that was all Josh. Dorsey was not good.  Brady has unlocked Allen's previously untapped potential and taken his game to another, higher level.

If this keeps up Brady will be regarded as one of the best up and coming young coaches in the league. Would hate to lose him.

He is a complete player.

Cannon for an arm. Fearless. Can pick defenses apart. Strong runner. Linebacker mentality. Can throw in impossibly small windows.

Team leader. Team goofball. These guys would follow Josh to the depths of hell.

Love he’s our QB.

He will throw 5 INTs all year, and the media will still call him a turnover machine, and he'll finish 3rd in the voting.

Its crazy they talk that up so much when it just doesn’t happen in the playoffs anyway…he’s got 4 ints in 10 playoff games and 2 were almost entirely on the wrs, 1 was a desperation INT against cincy

He's the best player in football, and the insistence of the media and other NFL players that clearly lesser OBs like Burrow or Jackson are better is comical at this point.

I remember there used to be a point in my Bills fandom where I was excited that Kelly Holcomb was getting an opportunity to start; now I get to watch the most physically gifted QB in NFL history. Pretty wild.

The mural on the Statler building could have gone to the head of a lessor man... but it didn't to Allen.

Regardless of what drama happens around him, Allen is all focus and business on the field. He's the perfect Super Bowl QB.

I tentatively, cautiously agree with all of this.

Brady was okay last season but didn't excel.  But with an entire offseason to install his offense, things seem to be humming now with the Bills scoring 37 points per game.   In the first half yesterday, Brady's play designs and play calls were fantastic.

As the announcers said (more or less), Brady seems  to have built an offense that doesn't require Josh to put on his cape every week for the Bills to win.

But even Dorsey had hot streaks where we  put up a lot of points.  Let's see how this plays out.

Yes we do.

If you had asked me before the season who the best player in the league was, I would have said Pat Mahomes.

After the first three games of this season (and taking into consideration who Pat and Josh have around them and on the coaching staff), I'm changing my answer.

Josh Allen is the best football player on planet earth right now. And probably on most other planets, too.
