Mat68 Posted Monday at 07:07 PM Posted Monday at 07:07 PM If Allen wins the Super Bowl this season he has a claim for best Qb in the league. Allen has been the more productive player for about 2 seasons. Mahomes had the success in the playoffs. The post season is the only argument currently for Mahomes and something Allen and the team hasn't accomplished. 1 Quote

mjt328 Posted Tuesday at 08:00 PM Posted Tuesday at 08:00 PM (edited) As a Bills fan, I understand the desire to put Allen above Mahomes. But an unbiased person just cannot do that. Our guy took a couple years to develop and didn't fully break-out as an elite player until 2000. By that point, Mahomes was already a Super Bowl champion, MVP and 2x All-Pro. Since then, they have been statistically neck/neck. But Mahomes has also won two additional Super Bowls and another MVP... defeating Allen/Buffalo in the playoffs three times along the way. Both guys have been individually great in the playoffs. But Allen has been pulled down by the team around him (coaching, defense, weapons) in the biggest moments. Mahomes has found a way to overcome them. That has to be a factor. Edited Tuesday at 08:00 PM by mjt328 Quote

It's neck and neck and the differences between them (the Super Bowls) have been a team factor, and not an individual factor. Fans REALLY struggle to separate the two. Like there is a real cognitive dissonance battle in people's heads, likely from media programming. But the answer is simple. Allen is only 28 and still progressing. Mahomes has stagnated AT BEST. Let's see what happens the next 2-3 years. People are too quick to the trigger on this one. Quote
