Conlan58 Posted September 23 Posted September 23 Leaves have been changing for weeks up here in Maine. We had a cool spell late August and then back into the 80s for a week straight in September. Can't deny fall is in the air now though! Hockey season in full swing for my kiddo (his Maine travel team has a tourney in Buffalo Halloween weekend!) 2 Quote

machine gun kelly Posted September 23 Posted September 23 It will be sunny and 91 with 85-90% humidity. i love you chandman, but you know in FL it’s ungodly hit until maybe the 3rd week in October. Then we live in heaven. You know as you’re a Jax guy. i appreciate the thought. 1 Quote

Here in Ponte vedra; , so tired of the heat this year , just seemed like one of the hotter summers with temps in the 90’s even thru the nights. Getting an occasional few min of a breeze now feels really uplifting! When I moved here from Ohio in the mid 80’s , it seemed to predictably rain with a breeze every afternoon for about an hour , after which it would seem like the air was refreshed and it meant half the day was over and it helped energize everyone with a second wind of energy to get through the day. You could almost set your watch for it to happen around 2-3 pm daily! That disappeared around the late 90’s or so and now it’s just days of hot, muggy, rain and the sun just stays hidden in the clouds without that refreshing , blue sky popping back out to evaporate the mid day downpours that were frequent all summer. I miss that time , the air seemed so fresh back then. I am so relieved when the temps finally break consistently just before Halloween , and between then and New years is still my fav time of year as we jump from one holiday to the next, and seasonal decorations start appearing out of nowhere! . People just seem to be treating each other better as Christmas now starts appearing in stores even before Thanksgiving. Plus its great for sports as football season is in full effect, the World Series makes its presence known , and soon the NBA even wakes up! Great time to travel back North to home in Ohio, close to Pittsburgh and Wheeling wva, just to see the hills covered in all the colored tree leaves as well. Throw in watching the BILLS in prime time tomorrow , and things will be perfect if we can hang 3-0 up and stay even with the KC team that Atlanta decided to gift wrap another W for; they REALLY SHOULD HAVE LOST if not for the ATL refusing two gimme FG’s on their home field , even as their D WAS PLAYING WELL against KC ( sure wish Beane had tried to get Simmons at S ) and that tough run game augmented by Rice and worthy until Kelce gets going. Good teams beat who they are supposed to ; BALTIMORE continues to try giving leads away ( Jerry doesn’t look like he can take many more cowboy performances like that!) , Houston we have some issues, while Pittsburgh shows why continuity of the coaching staff really means something as they start 3-0 with Wilson riding the pine behind Fields! Man , ol coach CHUCKY gruden was saying how the crisp BUFFALO AIR WILL INVIGORATE THE JAGS RUSH as they come in desperate according to his error filled podcast , but the BILLS PLAY WELL IN FALL AIR AS WELL ! CHUCKY also mentioned Morse will pass over the d line calls, while Davis will fill in the jags dbs on all the nuances of the Bills passing routes and what they like to do ! CHUCKY looked like he was loaded on stimulants, or this forced retirement has ruined what was once at least a mildly entertaining post coaching frontal cortex of knowledge ! Let’s at least hope JOSH sets his own new record and starts this season with 0 ints in the first 3 games of a season and the Bills have Facenda’s autumn breeze aiding a TD to Coleman while steering a Jag pass short of Davis into the waiting arms of Benford or Rapp to send the Jags home with one more L ! Hoping for lots of support tomorrow night; stay safe , and we need to get that w , what’s more , we HAVE TO GET THAT W , so we keep our chances alive of at least stopping that 3- peat, if not even winning our own SB with a great AUTUMN START! 1 Quote

HomeskillitMoorman Posted September 23 Posted September 23 (edited) I've been in Houston for work for months but dying to get back up to some real fall weather. Def my favorite season! Houston's a cool city but I don't know how people live here year around. I guess they say the same for us and cold weather. Edited September 23 by HomeskillitMoorman Quote
Augie Posted September 23 Posted September 23 Fall weather is awesome…..but I know what comes next so it loses a few appreciation points for that in my eyes. 1 Quote
NickelCity Posted September 23 Posted September 23 Fall used to be my favorite season until I moved to Seattle. The winter is so bleak here that is makes fall harder to enjoy 😅 Quote
