What a brilliant move Ted Marchibroda and Kelly ran it full time starting against the Eagles ifI remember correctly. Marv agreed to let Jim keep doing it. 1 Quote

I also am not risking another neck surgery. Dont think it could do anything anyways. My spinal cord has permanent damage. I drove myself to the hospital and then was paralyzed after the fact for months. I never fully recovered. Is what it is. I learned to do what I can and live with the way I am. I hear ya. I had head and neck cancer in 15' a PE in 17', Bypass and 3 stents in 19', left knee replaced in 21', supraspinatus re attached and biceps tendon moved in 23', 3 level lumbar fusion in April and now right knee will be replaced in November. I used to do Karate and Gymnastics when I was young, squatted and pulled in the 400's raw about 6 months after bypass and threw in the highland games from 98'-22' But after the shoulder and spine, the only thing I can lift is my fat ass off the couch lol. I live for my grandkids now. My goal is to be healthy enough to see my 6 year old granddaughter walk across the stage at her HS graduation. Sorry to post all of that, it's not meant to be a LAMP, just letting you, and other Bills family, know you all aren't alone in this thing called life and the rough things that come with it. Thanks man. I havent had a bypass but I do have 3 stents. My left knee also feels fubar but I have so much going on I havent had it looked at. My knee drops out on me all the time and its hard to go up and down my stairs. I also have to get a colonoscopy done because my colonguard test came back positive. Our stories are eerily similar. Im glad you are enjoying your grandkids! I also have a few! 1 Quote

Yeah bud Dont screw around with the colon. My Mom had Colon Cancer in 2000' had surgery and did great. Her ancient, crotchety ass is still here 24 years later lol 1 Quote

I exercise 6 days a week - in fact, I just hiked/jogged 12 miles in the mountains (2,300 feet of elevation gain) with my husky. My parents and grandparents all lived to the ages of 86-99. So I think I got some good years left. But I don't think I'll see another QB of Josh's caliber under center for the Bills in my lifetime. I commend your tenacity for a healthy lifestyle........it all seems a little too much work for me though. * i eat garbage * i exercise never * i hike/jog to the store for a pack of smokes It's not for everyone, but it works for me. We all end up in the same place anyway so I'm not sure what good I ultimately accomplish trying to eke out a few extra years. But I truly enjoying hiking & running with the dog in the mountains. Edwards/Captain Checkdown was a fraud. Tua gets hit into oblivion and still slings it better than most. Holcomb..lol Not to get OG Gilligan, but, "And The Rest!" Fitz was the first dude I saw in a long time to gunsling it on 3rd and long for a first....but then as most of us remember, the next drive would be a pick. Tyrod was efficient, but too conservative even for McD. And then there's Peterman: a name like Spiderman with the abilities of Peter Parker sans spider bite. Overall, Kelly was one of the greats, but Allen is one of the GOATs. We aren't worthy, but truly deserving. Fitz had the processing ability, the guts, and the toughness to be a great QB. He just didn't have the arm talent or athleticism. So many times he made the right decision but the ball wasn't where it needed to be. Often underthrown on all the deep stuff or inaccurate. All of his past teammates speak very highly of him which is rare for a middling QB. 1 1 Quote

I realize that even as an outsider (I'm not even in the US!) that has been a Bills fan for decades and suffered through the drought, Josh makes the game so much fun the void after he is gone will hit hard. Let's enjoy it now, for sure. Superbowl, baby. We need this while he's here! BTW, kudos to Josh's dad. He did mock interviews with him and all to prepare him. Think of all the time JA17 has been on the mic and never messed up! Quite impressive. As even if he does say tons of cliches and harmless answers, he adds color often, pays attention to questions, add inside jokes and all. The guy is great all around. 1 Quote
