somnus00
EJ was probably never going to make it as an NFL quarterback. But this team (coaching, front office, ownership) put him in a terrible position and failed him as well. He seemed like a great young man with a good head on his shoulders. But we have Josh now, and Marrone is probably quality control coach at some community college or something, obviously.

EJ needed to be drafted into a much better situation if he ever hoped to be successful. If maybe EJ was drafted to a team with an established vet QB who he could sit behind for 2 years and a team that had good infrastructure he maybe could have developed into a competent starter. But 2013 Buffalo was just not a good place for dam near any QB to be.

QBs of an equal lack of effectiveness (Blaine Gabbert comes to mind, as does, ironically, the earlier rendition of Geno Smith) had a decade-long+ career in the league, as journeymen, and mostly as backups. EJ did not. Don't get me wrong. Having watched EJM in games was cringeworthy most of the time. Lack of awareness. Lack of pocket presence. Easily rattled. Made bad decisions. Singularly found a way to lose games for the team. But still, equally bad players have hung on much longer, as journeymen backup QBs, than EJ. Maybe he was a child-eating satanist. Who can say? Lionel Hutz
I've tried to erase all my memories of the EJ Manuel era.

But Marrone gave him Nate Hackett in his first nfl job, both the OV and QB coach. EJ never had a chance. Back then, we also probably would have laughed to think that the DC EJ has his best nfl start against would one day be one of the best coaches in Bills history. Welcome to the nfl now. I remember that PI on Kuechly that overturned what would have been a game-ending INT being pretty ticky tack, and the video above confirms that. Not the worst call ever, but it was an overthrow and would have probably been picked off regardless.

And if Luke wants his name pronounced correctly, I demand he simplifies the spelling galdangit.....

I scrambled around to find someone to go with. I ended up taking a very attractive former classmate. It was her first NFL game. What a finish! Where’s the pic of the attractive former classmate?
