After 2 weeks, Coleman has better win rate/ separation than Worthy and others

Mitchell is as my guy when we were on the board but this date for Coleman through 2 weeks is very noteworthy. 
 

Ahead of McConkey and notably Worthy is very promising after he was criticized by many for being slow and unable to separate .

Why?  You can separate without having the ball thrown to you.

MHJ just had 5 catches for 132 yards and 2 TDs.  Keon Coleman had 0 for 0.  Brian Thomas Jr. has 6 catches on 8 targets for 141 yards and a TD.  AD Mitchell has 2 catches on 9 targets for 32 yards and 0 TDs.  This stat clearly has zero meaning.

I guess. I remember when Harrison was the slowest wr ever in mph in week 1 and then went crazy. Some of these stats are so worthless without context (did he get open because the ball was going to another guy, what corner was covering him, etc).

It has meaning here because Coleman's questionable ability to separate was a prime subject of debate throughout the offseason.

I think Coleman is going to be a good player.  It’s just a bad stat.  For a good while at the beginning of Josh’s career, the stat that kept getting thrown around was zero 300 yard games.  Everyone argued over whether or not it mattered.  Then he finally got one.  Then he got a 400 yard game the next week.  Now he does it, and it’s not even a big deal.  Clearly that was a meaningless barometer.  So is this one.  I’m pretty sure MHJ is going to be just fine despite his relatively poor showing by this metric.

Nothing against Coleman, but this seems like a pretty meaningless stat.  I’m sure Team Keon will flame me and tell me that this stat is predictive of a HOF career 😂

Marvin Harrison Jr. had a pathetic Week 1 and a monster Week 2.

 

We're not here to get players big stats, we are here to WIN and if it means throwing to 6 different players and missing one a game then OHH WELL.

Mitchell has a one of the least accurate quarterbacks throwing him the ball in the NFL.  You don’t think this stat has any meaning because you don’t seem to understand the stat…which was solely about the receivers ability to create separation, not count how many catchable passes their respective QBs threw.

Didn't Josh say he had Coleman open on numerous occasions, but is more confident making the play himself? Said he needs to show more confidence in Keon and throw him the ball. Maybe we'll see this more this week 🤷
