It was a lot of weird stuff, yes. Netflix actually has a nice Documentary about the case. Fascinating. And tragic.

Jerome Bettis, The Bus! What a great dude, just has a positive attitude about life and really is a role model for kids out there. Wish he had stayed with the Rams though LOL

I know he is a HOF player but he was a guard. So perhaps that is close enough to unheralded

Yeah, mine were pretty heralded but I read through the whole thread and felt that unheralded had been stretched far enough that I didn't have to worry about it.

He was good enough to be known, but I felt that Darren Sproles just played the game the right way. Small in stature but strong and scrappy.

 

He helped in many ways on special teams as well as being a gadget guy in offense too.

My two favorite non-Bills are Mike Evans and Derrick Henry.  Not sure they qualify as unheralded.

 

Steve McNair doesnt get the credit he deserves.   Also really liked Donald Driver, and Jerome Bettis.
