Mike in Horseheads Posted September 15 Posted September 15 OK, ya the did lose to NIU, but the did beat Texas A&M in College Station and today clobbered a BIG 10 team on the road. GO IRISH! 1 Quote
HIT BY SPIKES Posted October 31 Posted October 31 After that unforgivable loss, it looks like the Irish may win out. So their ceiling would be 5th or 6th and a home game in the new opening round of the play-offs? Quote
HIT BY SPIKES Posted November 12 Posted November 12 No. 11 Notre Dame Fighting Irish Previous ranking: 10 The Irish have not been tested since they played Louisville at the end of September, having beaten their past four opponents handily -- including hapless Florida State 52-3 on Saturday night. Notre Dame has relied on a strong running game to power through to victories, but if there is one area where it has to improve to not only stay ranked but have a shot in the playoff is the passing game. Riley Leonard has not had to do much here -- he actually leads the team in rushing -- but in the only loss of the season to Northern Illinois, he struggled and threw two interceptions. On the season, he has only nine touchdown passes, and only twice in nine games has the longest completion of the game been more than 40 yards. -- Adelson https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/42270041/2024-college-football-power-rankings-week-11-top-25-teams Quote
PromoTheRobot Posted November 12 Posted November 12 Not football but UB Basketball kept it close with the Irish Monday, only losing by 9. The line was 24. Quote
