zow2 Posted October 24 Posted October 24 It won't be easy to go through a season unscathed but Tua did manage to do it in 2023. He needs to not try to head butt Damar Hamlin in the chest! The thing is, most good QBs have to hang in the pocket on occasion and take the hit while releasing the ball. One of those type of whiplash motions could mess him up. Tua won't be able to scramble in traffic and he will have to get the ball out of his hand very quickly, which he is capable of doing. Quote

Ya I think the biggest concern for Tua and miami now is how effective is he going to be? Cause You got to think anytime there's pressure , he's just going to throw it away or just flop down so he doesn't get smoked Edited October 24 by BillsFan130 Quote
Mat68 Posted October 24 Posted October 24 They have a bad O-line. Every pass cant be on time. I would have advised him to hang it up or wait til next season. Miami is all in this season. They have no choice but to salvage any level of offensive out put. The offense has looked dreadful. McDaniels looks to be at the end of his playbook. I dont want to watch the next incident or episode. My concern is football is changed forever if the situation turns dark. Quote

BlazinBill Posted October 24 Posted October 24 (edited) If you are so stubborn to go against medical advise and put your self out there after injury after injury then I hope the best for ya- I sincerely do- I just don't see this ending well and I hope I'm wrong. The medical Information and studies done on this though point to a very hazy picture in the future already for the guy. Dude could walk a millionaire at 26. He's putting his passion before his family - were all different but also at the end of the day is a game worth it? Easily said for me , as I don't play the game- it's always easy to have opinions on someone else choices though- I'm pretty sure most people have had to give stuff they love up when health comes into play, especially if you have family - meaning kids and a wife/husband that need you more than the money. It all just seems so silly - I don't want him to get hurt again at all but it's gonna leave a lot of people shaking there heads when the movie ends the same way again. The thing is, if they beat the Cardinals and Tua looks decent, they are still right in the mix for a playoff spot if he can stay healthy. Wild card slots 6 & 7 are going to be in competition for by the Bengals, Colts, Broncos, Chargers...and Miami could be in that mix if they get going. If they lose to Arizona, I'm not even sure it's a smart move to play Tua at Buffalo. He has gotten injured vs the Bills a couple times now. That's a scary game for them. Quote

Football wise they absolutely need him. I just think the team is worst than last year. Both lines are worst. Cardinals will be a tough game. Arizona will be able to run on them. Quote
benderbender Posted October 24 Posted October 24 Thought this would be a good time to check in on LeBatard. He never passes on a chance to finger wag at NFL fans. And he did of course but his own crew is sort of done with it at this point. Tua isn’t a gladiator who the crowd demands he fight in the arena, but someone whose family hasn’t done the job of convincing there’s more to life. Quote
RichRiderBills Posted October 24 Posted October 24 I don't have high hopes for Miami and playoffs. They fold down the stretch, are terrible in bad weather, and usually only have any chance at the playoffs when they start hot. The offense and timing are vital, which is why it will never beat good teams. They won't win in poor weather or on the road. Any kind of semblance of a pass rush can also usually beat them. Tua is a nice guy and I wish well for him. That being said, he chose to get leaner this year despite the recommendation to have some weight on him for protection. Quote

TheFunPolice Posted October 24 Posted October 24 I've seen Tua absolutely ragdolled on multiple occasions. Sadly, he's going to suffer another concussion. It's just a question of when. Quote

To play Sunday, he will need to be a full participant either Thursday or Friday. Once he practices in full, he can meet with an independent neurological consultant assigned to the team and receive final clearance to play.” https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/41968071/tua-tagovailoa-practice-return-welcome-sight-dolphins 1 Quote

I dont think Miami as a 6 or 7 seed is a realistically viable option for them, away game for a better team likely in cold weather? Good luck to them, hope the do make it and ruin their draft positon. 1 minute ago, Mr Info said: “Tua was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice. No matter how healthy he appears, the cosmetic on allowing him to rush back in is terrible, make him sit out AT LEAST an additional week. Quote
