Ummmmmm no... Dude chose to play after 6 concussions.... He wants to be a vegetable, that's his choice.  I don't care about him or his "cause"...

Slightly harsh. I don't think he wants to be a vegetable. He wants to play the game he loves and made changes to the way he plays to try and protect himself.

I think last year probably gave him a false sense of confidence after he went all season without a head injury. Maybe he thought the season before was an anomaly. Just because he's a player on a division rival doesn't mean he's not worth caring about. Even if you choose not to give money (he has lots of money he can donate to brain injury research) but I still hope he recovers and gets to enjoy his life

It's about turning an unfortunate event into a little bit of positive.

And you really could of just moved on without the assinine comments, but you do you.

Any reason to donate to a good cause and it's a worthwhile endeavor.  I don't because I'm a selfish person but I admire those who do.

Here's a good breakdown by an MD:

I feel bad for the kid.

For his future and his future with his kids, I really hope he retires. This is his 4th concussion in less than 2 years. They say it's 3, but we all know he took one against us before the infamous first Posturing/Fencing incident.

No concussion is good. But this is the second time his brain has made his body react in this horrifying manor. I honestly worry for his life if he continues. And there's more to life than Football.

Honestly he makes enough. Let him donate. He made this decision. If the samed happened at my job. Would anybidy be thinking the same?

I donated 10% of my sales at my pub yesterday to tunnel for towers. I make 1 % of what he does. I dont see that going around. Nah. Im not down with this

Now don't get me wrong, but shouldn't we be more focused on charitable events promoting employment opportunities or food banks or shelters for the poor and homeless, etc. in a stagnant economy where people in our local communities are hurting and suffering?

I'm just saying, maybe look at your own local charity opportunities.

You want to help someone?........start in your own community.

My opinion.

I quoted this before, but now that I've watched the whole video - with all due respect to you, this is NOT a good breakdown. He said some jaw dropping stuff in there that had me wondering if he was one of the NFL Doctors in Will Smith's 'Concussion' movie or was vying to be the next fired "Independent Neurologist" patsy for the league.

A guy losing consciousness and going into the fencing position doesn't mean it's a severe concussion? That flies in the face of every other concussion specialist who's spoke on it.

Just because it looked bad doesn't mean it will be a multi week, prolonged absence from playing? Are you kidding me? You'd clear him in a week?

These analysis' seem more in line with the reality:

Not to poop on this but a lot of these foundations are nothing more than a money laundering scheme for these folks. A way to funnel money to their posse, a way to hide income from the taxman, and just overall notice on the up and up as one would wish.

Hmmm…so how would one go about setting up one of these things?  My posse is flat out poor.
