He's a streaky type of player, he definitely can wreck a game. I just think Wilkins was more of the heartbeat along that defensive line and they kept chubb and phillips. 1 Quote

Probably a bakers dozen seriously asking, but did he even play last night? Same with Chubb? I didn’t even see them on screen. The only defender I noticed for more than a second was Siler, who made a few run stops. Quote

Phillips is a very good player, not great but very good. 1 Quote

My favorite bit was when Allen slid on his one scramble, and #11 Long was chirping him walking back to the line and Allen peeked around him to read his nameplate as if to say, "who even are you?" 3 Quote

DapperCam Posted September 13 Posted September 13 To be fair we barely passed the ball. How many pass attempts in the second half, like 5? Quote

Utah John Posted September 13 Posted September 13 Maybe it's time to wake up and realize Beane knows what he's doing. Mitch Morse was playing great and was a key part of the O line, but he reached 30 and was too expensive considering the salary cap. So the Bills took a huge risk moving McGovern to center and starting Edwards at LG. I thought this would diminish performance at both C and LG, but geez look at the holes Cook was running through, and look at the time Josh had to pass. That risk has paid off. Beane's extended Brown, and now has future players at C and LT on the roster, developing, and on their cheap rookie contracts. Unless injuries hit, the Bills look better than just solid up front, for years to come. All through Josh's prime years (as in, now and for a few more), the O line should be very strong. I still think 2025 should see a better team than 2024 but I have to admit the 2024 team looks really really good. 1 hour ago, DapperCam said: To be fair we barely passed the ball. Buftex Posted September 13 Posted September 13 (edited) Heard one of the talking heads discussing Phillips matchup with Brown, prior to the game...sorry can't remember who it was. They said that when Brown has struggled it has typically been against shorter guys, who can get underneath him...but they predicted that Brown would match-up well against, becasue he is a larger guy. Brown is 6 ft. 8, while Phillips is 6 ft. 5 Edited September 13 by Buftex Quote

The Dolphins like the Bills got ripped apart by the salary cap. The Dolphins unlike the Bills put way too much money into QB, WR1, and WR2 and they have JAGs at far too many positions. The Bills unlike the Dolphins know WTF they're doing. Quote
