KnightRider
Extremely interesting. POWs housed in a weapons manufacturing facility? The thing that never gets mentioned in stories like this is how many lives, both American and Japanese, were saved by Truman's courage to go through with it. dib
Anytime anyone gets to feeling feeling badly about the decision to drop the bomb I suggest you read the book" 'The rape of Nanking' by Iris Chang. Or the maybe the book 'Flyboys'. Then there are alwyas the topics like- The Bataan Death March. Undeniably, the dropping of the the two bombs, in the end, saved lives. My dad was slated to be dropped into Japan via glider as part of operation Olympic.
