HIT BY SPIKES Posted September 12 Author Posted September 12 I am going with a healthy Cedar Smoked Salmon Salad Wraps with Cuban Black Bean Soup. On Saturday I put a beautiful a 3lb+ fresh thick middle cut of salmon on a soaked cedar plank and BBQ'd it. Wife had attitude and did not eat any of it. I cut it into 5 equal pieces and put in separate sandwich bags so she could have lunch for each day of the week at her work. She froze it instead. Yesterday I unfroze it and added sweet onion, celery, sliced water chestnuts, dijon mustard, fresh ground pepper, Caesar dressing and mayo to make the salad. The small sample sandwiches I brought to the Veterans at the Legion loved it. Going to put it in a wrap with lettuce, tomatoes and jalapeños from the garden. I got a crap ton of the beans left over from the Arizona game and I am going to repurpose it into this soup... https://littlespicejar.com/cuban-black-bean-soup/ 1 2 Quote
HIT BY SPIKES Posted September 12 Author Posted September 12 The above soup recipe was Vegan and......yeah no. Found some pork pieces this morning and browned them before adding the other ingredients. Also threw in the 4 drumsticks left over from the Arizona game. Oh, there was left over beer I opened and fell asleep before drinking last night so it went in with the chicken stock. Looks and smells great already. Quote

I’m afraid to ask where you “found some pork pieces”. 😳 1 Quote

hondo in seattle Posted September 12 Posted September 12 I've done wings on Bills game days for years. Today it will be Chinese 5 spice wings with glaze. But I think I'm doing it wrong. Wings every weekend - even when changing up the recipes - gets a little old. I need to follow the example of you guys who eat the opponents' food. Seems far more interesting. 1 Quote
Your Brown Eye Posted September 12 Posted September 12 I specifically bought tuna fish from the store that was not labeled "Dolphin free" and made a hearty tuna sandwich on a glorious Buffalo style kimmleweck roll... suck it Tua 2 Quote
Desert Bills Fan Posted September 12 Posted September 12 Home made wings & pizza. Carrot sticks & Marie’s Blue Cheese for dip! French Onion sour cream dip and chips for pregame snack. Sam Adam’s original for washing it down (I know it is from Boston, but love the IPA taste) 1 Quote

I just came home from there so my nap schedule is all screwed up. I go to drink some bad beer with the old boys and entertain them. Some are well into their 80's and can't cook a lick so I try my best to feed them when I can. Great group of guys. 3 hours ago, SoCal Deek said: I’m afraid to ask where you “found some pork pieces”. 😳 At my local grocery store under the name "Pork Buttons". They were fresh and discounted to 50% this morning. I think they are left over bits and pieces. Looks like parts of the rib area. 3 hours ago, Prospector said: She sounds like a peach I'll make some tuna poke I would love to but you really need sushi grade tuna for that and I can't that at all or at any reasonable price in my city. 1 Quote

ColoradoBills Posted September 12 Posted September 12 Living in Colorado you don't typically find Buffalo type pizza. But a place called Mollies Mountain Pies open up around the corner and has some excellent pizza. I'm doing simple old school game food tonight! 1 Quote
