If you told me before the season he'd have 6+ sacks, I'd have taken it in a heartbeat. He may have had more if not for the suspension. Von's sack total is made more impressive not only by the fact that he had a 4 game suspension but also by the fact that early on in the season he wasn't getting a ton of snaps. He only ended up playing 30% of the teams defensive snaps this season. But what could be a massive difference is that he seems to be peaking at the right time with a strong game against Denver and leading the NFL in pressures since week 13. 2 3 Quote

They don’t tell the whole story but Von has played well this season and has flashed enough to know that he’s capable of being a difference maker in the playoffs 1 Quote
Saint Doug Posted yesterday at 04:21 AM Posted yesterday at 04:21 AM He’s not a difference maker. Getting a sack (or two) every few games doesn’t do it for me. Impact the outcome of a game. Quote
Richard Noggin Posted yesterday at 07:01 AM Posted yesterday at 07:01 AM OBL today touted a stat to the tune of: Von Miller leads the NFL in QB pressure rate over the past 4ish games? I forget how far back this stat goes. I'm sure Google could help us clarify. But apparently he's been having success recently (could be against a string of shite opponent offensive lines) at a rate much higher than most realize. This would certainly be the time to see that trend fully realized. We hope many of the vets have been load managing and building towards maximizing their impact NOW. (Would also love to see the Lions game version of Ed Oliver for three more games this season.) 1 Quote

Getting a sack (or two) every few games doesn’t do it for me. Impact the outcome of a game. He's been a dramatic difference maker. Especially at home. He effects a teams route combinations. He forces condensed formations because teams must give chip help to their tackles against Von and Rousseau. He forces bootleg/ rollout and shorter drops which makes the offense much more predictable. His presence on the field alone speeds up the clock for a QB. Not to mention how much he has helped Rousseau and Epenesa grow into true pros But regardless of the nuances, he has not just flashed but had multiple plays that are dominant and look like prime Von. I can guarantee you he is going to cause massive problems vs Baltimore and help us win the super bowl. And he even took a pay cut out of guilt from being hurt last year It was nobody's fault he got hurt. Yet he still took the responsibility of getting ready for this moment. That's a rare trait imo I really wish ppl would try to appreciate how hard it is to come back at that age from an ACL. And here he was making one of the top 3-4 rts in the NFL look silly multiple times He's a champion for a reason Go bills Edited yesterday at 09:26 AM by Kelly to Allen 2 Quote
Kelly to Allen Posted yesterday at 09:27 AM Posted yesterday at 09:27 AM Do not count out Von Miller for multiple sacks in this game. Quote

I wish he was tearing it up, but it just ain’t happening. he’s rarely on the field, and when he is, for a good portion of it, it’s garbage time. You keep saying ridiculous things that are objectively wrong in some sad effort to belittle the guy. It's either hatred or stupidity and I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt. 5 1 1 Quote
Pete Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago (edited) We had Von for 9 plays first go around. The eye test and the metrics show that Von has been playing great the past 3 games. I predict Von has at least one sack Sunday, in a big spot. Edited 21 hours ago by Pete 1 Quote

And Von still isn't the old Von. He has, the last 3 or 4 games, played as well as his body will allow him to but while that still means winning his reps and getting pressure that 6th gear burst to close the gap and get to the Quarterback isn't there. He is speeding QBs up and getting them out of rhythm and that is not nothing but it needs the coverage to be on point to make an impact. I'm hoping it can be enough on two or three key third or fourth downs tomorrow to make a difference. Quote

I think it will pretty awesome 1 Quote

Cubanmist Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago If we have any chance of winning this game, then we need to have a pesky pass rush. This means Von has to continue to be a pain in the ass on every snap. HIT Lamar as many times as you can. Make him think twice about running. Quote
