My comment is that his Contract was a terrible signing for the production that the Bills have gotten for it. I truly hope that is the last time the organization pens another similar deal. They rarely work. Build your team through the draft around a franchise QB and Offensive Line and fill holes as they come up with mid-scale veterans. I respect this take but again, why the tone of final judgement? What if Von has 4 sacks in 3 playoff games and the Bills win the Super Bowl? Not directed exclusively at you but is there some crime that I'm not aware of that prohibits waiting to see how the season ends? Quote

I don’t think it will make any difference, but always hoping. We have no other option. I'm hoping maybe during the playoffs he comes through. Idk man... it really feels like our defense is better when he's not out there. He even had a crucial Offside penalty too. He's our defensive version of DeShaun Watson, you can't sit someone when you're paying them so much money. 20 minutes ago, Sierra Foothills said: I respect this take but again, why the tone of final judgement? This team is better without him in the lineup. We don't have time to wait... 1 1 Quote
WideNine Posted November 5 Posted November 5 1 hour ago, Sierra Foothills said: I'm glad you acknowledge that some of your frustration comes from the defense as a whole. Again, I view the game as just a superb performance by the Dolphins, their QB, and their Head Coach/playcaller. That group has put up big numbers over the years and the fact that we've generally dominated them doesn't mean it'll happen each time. I give credit to the opponent. Playing like that Miami was gonna rack up yards and points against anyone. Yes. Von played 21 of 60 snaps. It looked to me like most of his snaps came in the 4th quarter. This is what I saw also. In his 21 snaps Von was not doing the Epenesa thing (AJs actually gotten better about this) of immediately losing contain on plays. Von was setting the edge and holding the point for run plays before then focusing on the QB. On the run plays he kept the runner inside. On his pass rushes only once did he lose QB contain and on that play he was hunting Tua from behind but couldn't catch up to him before the throw. This is what I saw. With only a few exceptions, Tua continued his pattern of getting the ball out quickly. I don't understand the rush to judgement from the many Von haters here. He has 3 sacks in 114 snaps. Not all of those 114 snaps were pass plays. His pressure and sack rate are very good for how much he's played. I don't understand why people feel the need to pass final judgement on players halfway through a season where the important work is still in front of us and where his sample size has yielded good results. Defense as a whole yes, not just Von. And I think our lightish LBs are dropping like flies because so many backs and blockers are hitting them with a full head of steam at the second level. Of course I remember too well the one 3rd down where we did finally stop them and Von was Offside and gave them the fresh set of downs so was salty about that. There were attempts to set the edge and string out the zone runs, but mixed results as they usually churned out 5 or more yards And even when our ends did the right thing, strung things out and turned the runner back inside there was no one picking up the cut back lanes. Glad for the win against a desparate Miami squad, but defensive scheme, players, or both left me with anything but warm fuzzies. Not taking anything away from Miami, if that owner blows things up I think that would be foolish as I did not see a lot of quit in that team we played. 2 Quote

Neither you nor I is putting in plays, players, or strategies. Unless maybe you have inside information and all of this has been a grand sandbagging strategy. Hint: Check out DeAndre Hopkins playing for the Chiefs tonight. 1 Quote

Do I think McBeane should be fired because of it…no. But it’s been a real loser of a deal. It was a reach but I was still happy bringing him in. His injury was unfortunate but the fact he assaulted his pregnant girlfriend is despicable. 2 hours ago, Simon said: I wouldn't have said it if it wasn't true. He made multiple strong plays against the run yesterday. Sorry you didn't see them. The All-22 should show what you’re referencing. Watching on TV it’s hard to see what’s really going on. Quote
Magox Posted November 11 Posted November 11 Von Miller had an excellent day yesterday. He caused hurried incomplete throws and without his pressure Austin doesn't get the int. Having him back with his body rested is going to serve us well for the playoffs. 2 1 1 Quote
TheFunPolice Posted November 11 Posted November 11 as long as he's 100% healthy for the playoffs who cares really... He was brought in for the huge play in the huge moment. We need him ready to go then. Quote
No_Matter_What Posted Monday at 12:56 AM Posted Monday at 12:56 AM With 4th sack today, he has reached another $1.5M incentive ($2.5M total). Good for him. I guess it counts against next years cap. 1 Quote
Charles Romes Posted Monday at 12:59 AM Posted Monday at 12:59 AM He gave up on a rush v mahomes the final drive for some reason. He could have disrupted the throw, just stopped maybe to go overboard avoiding a flag. 1 Quote
