Magox Posted January 6 Posted January 6 I think you’ll see Von play anywhere between 30% - 50% of the snaps, just depends what sort of situations the game presents. The Broncos have two good tackles that will present a challenge. He is beating guys with speed and leverage, he’s rounding into form right at the right time. Rousseau will have to step up and so will Oliver, those three will need to play well to have any chance at taking this the distance 1 Quote
Eastport bills Posted January 6 Posted January 6 If Von appreciates what the Bills did for him with a bonus in a year where he was a non factor and almost looked washed, then he has to turn it on starting Sunday. Get pressure on Nix, set the edge and be disruptive. Von has been a bad signing and has been a shell of his HOF self. If he can show up for this postseason, all is forgiven. 1 1 Quote

He’s got a shot to show the world he is the “closer” he thinks he is. Quote

QLBillsFan Posted January 6 Posted January 6 He’s not really proved anyone wrong. Missed 4 games due to conduct (won’t even get into that).. 5 sacks in 11 games ? I think more was expected 🤷🏻♂️ Quote

I'm not sure about "wildly outplayed" but he did have some impact. I'm not sure how much we take from another slightly fortuitous sack in a meaningless week 17 game, but he did beat his man around the edge and create a pressure and so fair's fair. He met the mark I gave him very little chance of making. That said, I still don't think he has really had a major impact on the season. Of his six sacks, week 1 v Arizona and the one vs Kansas City came at critical moments. Otherwise it is one in a meaningless game and three in blowouts, but I accept I said he wouldn't get six and he did. Congratulations to Von. I'm kind of happy he earned his incentive because despite me not being mad keen on having him on the roster the pay cut he took with a chance to earn some back was magnanimous of him and a team first move. I said in the week I thought given that it would be unfair for the Bills to sit him totally today and I'm glad they didn't. For me to completely eat my words on Von he will need to make some impact in the post season, if he does that, all the struggles, and the disappearing acts are forgiven. Quote

I think Rousseau is a tough matchup for a guard and is hard for a QB to see over. Maybe Von, Rousseau, Oliver, and Solomon on long yardage situations? Also, maybe move Von around. He’s still getting double teams at times. Quote
