He's a distraction and opens up other guys. You play him. If he is healthy you play him. You are paying him play him. If he isnt ready or doesnt produce then he can sit. But I dont think not dressing him is a good idea. I think a better idea is making Tua know he is there. 1 Quote

Agreed and obviously I am jazzed by the fact of him technically being a healthy scratch these last 4 weeks so he comes back fully ready, but I would still limit his snaps. At home, against Miami is a good game for him to get reacclimated to the way he digs and drives to the QB. 1 Quote

I agree he will play... sack... Tua is clearly getting rid of the ball so quick to avoid contact I am not sure anyone gets to him.... however, get up significantly and force him to let routes develop and I think you are in business. 1 Quote

PoundingDog Posted October 30 Posted October 30 (edited) Well, I think the rules are that he cannot be at Bills (or any NFL team) facility until this Monday. That's very different from Cooper who basically changed NFL facility from Cleveland to Buffalo. Von's body has not been subject to any hits --- including practice hits -- for 30+ days. I think it takes some ramp up to, from the number of hits and severity of hits perspective. Padded practice hits is surely a start. I, for one, am still holding out hope that he CAN be that closer on defense we need in playoffs. He has been in his career before, consistently, I may add. Besides him, which current Bills defender may do that -- which we need for a serious playoff run? Maybe Rousseau? Big maybe. Von probably won't perform like he used to, but we just need a few flash plays at critical moments, and that's exactly people of his caliber knows how to do in those moments. Charles Romes Posted October 30 Posted October 30 (edited) Von just said at his presser that he was in the building before his suspension was over. Is that even allowed? I don’t want to lose a draft pick. Edited October 30 by Charles Romes Quote

Those are stats. Look at what Rousseau is doing. One of Von's sacks was him tagging a guy who already fell. Edited October 30 by PromoTheRobot 1 Quote

I agree with this and I actually feel very optimistic that he is going to be a difference maker rushing the passer this 2nd half of the season and into the playoffs. He's coming off a month rest and will be more fresh than he has ever been since coming to Buffalo. I also get the sense he feels relieved to get this behind him (he knew this was coming, just didn't know when) and my hope is that Miller plays the rest of the season loose, has a lot fun, and that he makes some timely splash plays. With his roll as a situational pass rusher, he only has to make one or two plays a game to be a difference maker on this defense. We always wanted to see what it would be like to have a healthy Von Miller come playoff time. We might just get our wish this year. Go Bills!! Edited October 31 by Buffalo4Life01 2 1 Quote

SoCal Deek Posted November 4 Posted November 4 I sure hope he’s a good teammate and locker room guy because his on field contributions this year have been pretty woeful. Quote

I've never seen him play so well and didn't know he was capable of playing at that level. It was evocative of Dan Marino's performance on MNF against the '85 Bears. It looked like Von played the majority of the 4th quarter and I thought he had several good rushes. 2 1 Quote

He came and single-handedly extended a critical Dolphins drive with an Offside penalty. He gets nowhere near the credit he deserves, man. 1 1 1 1 Quote

bmur66 Posted November 4 Posted November 4 (edited) I think VM is done. He is Jerry Hughes at the end of time with the Bills. He gets a guided tour around the QB and then pretty much gives up. No idea why he is out there in place of Rousseau. Edited November 4 by bmur66 1 1 1 3 Quote
