Look if you're gonna put in a rule to prevent injury and it happens obviously right in the open to the ball carrier and it causes injury and you don't call it, then what was the point?

They left themselves an out with this "all three elements must be present" crap, so they can always say "in our judgment, element #3 (or whatever) wasn't present...."

Bad no call on the hip drop tackle on Jennings.  The 3 crtieria:

 

1.  A defender wraps up the runner.

2. The defender swivels his hips or rotates into the ball carrier and “unweighs” himself (leaves his feet so the defender is completely off the ground).

3.  The defender lands on the runner’s feet or legs.

 

Just replayed it, and all three criteria were met.  Well done refs.  Jennings gets injured, no flags.

There are 31 other qbs that can throw to 3 top 5 weapons at their position when they’re always wide open.
