I hate calling deep passes on 3rd down.

He was open, yes, but it is such a low-percentage play regardless.

Do that on 2nd down.

Its funny how many times the Bills get 2nd and 1 opportunities and then just run it up the middle.

Exactly.

Those plays are begging for a play action but it rarely ever gets called with Brady.

It is about the looks you get as well though. Cards out of their shell to try and bring some heat on 3rd down, middle of field open. And the play worked. Just missed thr throw (which in these conditions especially is a hard throw).

Yea he looked like he lost it in the wind to me

It wasn’t the typical Allen rope. That pass was lofted nicely and had some hang time. Maybe it moved in the wind, but MVS had time to adjust IMO.

For as good as Allen is.. his deep ball accuracy is bad.

He probably throws in the worst wind conditions than any other qb on a regular basis.  He put it where it was going to be caught or no one was going to catch it.  I honestly prefer that.

That's fair, but it was a high risk play when we had a chance of putting real scoreboard pressure on them. I would rather we had tried that on 2nd down
