It’s going to be even tougher for Jones when Brown is lining up a yard in the backfield like Taylor does…

lol, like Brown will be allowed to get away with that like the Chiefs tackles do

Turns out that it was a genius move by Beane.  Great value signings with Oliver and now Beane, these kind of signings make a difference in building a competing roster.

Joe Marino commented in his podcast, all-22 review,  that’s Brown was a beast in the Baltimore game.

I don’t know what has gotten into this guy.

Chris Jones vs Spencer Brown is going to fun to watch. Does Brown become a superstar this weekend? Does KC move Jones around to avoid Brown?

Cant wait to see this matchup.

Two things have gotten into him: being fully healthy and, more importantly, gained experience as he was as raw as could be coming into the league. Tip of the hat to Kromer in that regard.

If he lines up the same way Taylor does, they can’t say anything.

Have we discussed whether this current stretch by Brown is the best by a Bills RT in franchise history? I think it needs to be considered. Other candidates:

Ballard (pick your year)

Peters (that first year before he moved to LT)

Big Mike (lol)

Anyone I'm forgetting?

Daryl Williams' first year here was one of the best RT performances you'll ever see.

Not as fun to watch as Spencer Brown but just as effective.

The Bills then gave him a huge contract, which he apparently spent on mayonnaise and crazy straws before being cut one year into the deal.

I will say Daryl Williams was good but not nearly as dominant as Spencer Brown is this season

Josh was making Williams look better with his improvising.. then Josh needs to make Spencer look

Spencer is literally cleaning out defensive ends in the running game and is mirroring in the passing at a high level Williams was solidly above average

I've been saying here the last 2 years that Spencer Brown is a future All pro

The chiefs talking heads are talking about the players THEY did not have the regular season matchup.

Hey, we did that last week and it showed against Baltimore. Both teams weren’t at 100% in the regular season. I forget, was Brown out against KC during the regular season?

I think Edwards is the weakest link on the line right now and that is saying something...  because he's still pretty darn good. would like to see Torrance drop a little weight in the off season nd I think he can be the best interior guy.

both tackle spots are set with studs and mcGovern is set as well I think.

And I think Edwards is an average starting caliber guard. This is an impressive group on oline. If they stay healthy we got a great shot to win the whole thing. Two more games!

And is there anyone here that DID NOT want to move on from Brown?

Several of us cited his back and other health issues along with his lack of experience as reasons to get a better look when he was 100% healthy.

I liked him enough to keep him but I wanted to see them let him run at G because I thought he didn't have the feet to play T

I agree that he wasn't as "dominant" but he deserves better than "good" for that season he had.

He went up against a fully healthy TJ Watt at the peak of his career and made him look like a child; and that wasn't the only guy he completely shut down.

Maybe he couldn't stone a guy with one punch or get into the second level like Brown has been, but his season was worth mentioning in response to the post.

I think Brown always showed he had the potential to be something special.  He showed it even in his rookie year.  However, guys with his height and build have a tendency to have back issues linger (and potentially never recover).  From people who are uninformed on his medical status (all of us) I think it was quite reasonable to be sceptical of his long term availability.  When they gave the contract to him, they did it with full awareness of his medical situation.  I felt pretty good at that point.

While it is possible that he has a shortened career or availability concerns at some point in the future, I don't think any of us have a reason to doubt him.  From all available evidence he is "good to go".

This season he has absolutely played to the level that we only hoped for and absolutely is outplaying his contract.

That contract is looking more like a bargain now

How long before he wants to renegotiate because he’s being underpaid?
