If it’s over 12M a year I’m gonna be bummed.  Have a feeling it’s way more that 12M a year.  Right tackles….not a fan of paying them big bucks

I agree.

He has played well, but we have some decent prospects in the pipeline and Beane has a history of over-paying with guaranteed money.

One of the reasons we have so much dead cap.

If Groot has the year we think he will have he will need to get paid to stay with us.

Not a cap guy, but curious how much dead cap we will carry next year.

Currently at $5M.  It will depend on what they do with Von Miller.  If he is cut early, it's another $15M if after June 1st it's another $6M.

I hear ya.  I like the guy, but one season of good play from a guy with a history of back injuries worries me.  I thought he was good last season, but he got whooped on plenty and if it wasn’t for 17 being 17, he’d have been on the hook for a decent amount of sacks imo.

after sleeping in it- I’ll be ok with it if 15M and under…..but I still think it’ll be 17-19, and that, I’m not cool with.  Hopefully he proves me wrong

You were right on about the price.

I like it, myself. And over the first two weeks I think he's played really well.

It's not a sure thing, I'd agree with that. But I like it.

For sure-  I’m happy with the way he handles Phillips last night.  In years past, Phillips had his way with Spencer.

I think my biggest worry with him has always been his back injury history, especially with a man that’s so tall.  Could turn out to be a nice deal for us if he stays healthy though.

I don’t hate it-  I was just hoping we’d allocate more resources elsewhere.

After watching last nights game, I’m starting to think we should just pick up UDFA’s and start them in the back 7.  Save money there and put it into the OL/WR/DL

He’s worth well over $12m a year.

He gets destroyed by small/faster DEs, hate this signing

I feel, again, Beane jumped the gun. He should have waited to see how this year pans out.

Now the 8th highest paid RT in the league - absolutely insane contract. Beane continues to bend himself over a barrel in very contract negotiation.

Turns out that it was a genius move by Beane.  Great value signings with Oliver and now Beane, these kind of signings make a difference in building a competing roster.

Brown is just blasting people and tossing them around.

Wonder how many still hate the extension.

That contract is looking more like a bargain now

He has been a top 3 right tackle in football this year. If they were trying to extend him now he would be asking for somewhere between Lane Johnson's $20m AAV and Penei Sewell's $28m AAV because while Sewell has been out on his own, Brown has been in the Lane Johnson tier this year and that Johnson deal was signed two years ago. As it is the Bills have him at $18m AAV. It's an incredible bargain.

I don’t know what has gotten into this guy.

Chris Jones vs Spencer Brown is going to fun to watch. Does Brown become a superstar this weekend? Does KC move Jones around to avoid Brown?

Cant wait to see this matchup.

I hope we see Brown pancake this guy on multiple occasions, and Dion fold him up on one of those counter plays as well.

Fold him up? What like you'd fold up a beach chair??? I think I know just the man for that..... hope Kro is coaching some technique this week 😄

That second rep against Van Noy is a damn treat to watch.  Lateral quickness to match Van Noy's feet, length to just hold him back, strength to maintain stability and stay upright... and finishes by tossing that MFer to the ground.

O-line extacy right there

I think Edwards is the weakest link on the line right now and that is saying something...  because he's still pretty darn good. would like to see Torrance drop a little weight in the off season nd I think he can be the best interior guy.

both tackle spots are set with studs and mcGovern is set as well I think.

It’s going to be even tougher for Jones when Brown is lining up a yard in the backfield like Taylor does…
