Marvin Harrison Jr. was the first receiver taken in the draft.  He played for Arizona and was a total non-factor in the game.  It makes as much sense to claim Coleman should have been drafted ahead of Harrison as to say the Bills should not have passed on Worthy based on his first game with KC.

Yeah, he did.  So much for the “experts” thinking he would be brought along slowly and not contribute much in his first year.  He had the team’s most targets, receptions and receiving yards.

Speaking of targets, it was surprising that Kincaid had only 2 targets.

He also led the team in snaps too

Harrison looks slow and had a terrible drop, especially for a guy who had “the best hands in the draft”.

Worthy is an explosive complementary piece for the Chiefs.

And the Chiefs are a bit rare in that they generate a ton of production from receivers 6-12 on their roster (TE's and RB's included).

So to give them a guy that can take it to the house on any given play is a big deal.

But Worthy will probably never be a top 3 target for them, simply due to durability. I don't think he can sustain more than 50 touches a season... We shall see...

This was such a nasty catch.

Can you imagine Allen trying that with Davis? It's probably intercepted.

The Bills still need more talent in the WR room, but Coleman might be an excellent step in the right direction.

To me, the conversation was never “Worthy vs Coleman”.

Its simply that you NEVER trade with KC.

If KC wants something (like moving up), you DONT help them get what they want.

If another team is willing to help them, so be it.

But not us.

And the fact that they traded with us tells me that we were the BEST offer. Make them take a worse offer.

Told you

a) it’s demoralizing in an absolutely exceptional way if they win the trade.

b) you know you are creating an extra chip on an opponents shoulder that you will be seeing in the biggest moments (oh you traded me to a rival)

It's actually insane - here & nationally.

He had 2 big plays yesterday.  The 1st TD was some of the best blocking I've seen in awhile, and reflective of how good Reid is.  Most fast receivers get that TD.  The 2nd TD was a completely blown coverage, and pretty much ANY WR would have gotten a TD on.

He's incredibly fast - but we knew that before the draft.  The internet went crazy last night blaming the Bills and Beane - as though we didn't expect the guy to make some plays in one of the best offenses, with one of the best QB's and best offensive minds in the game?

But that's beside the point.  In all likelihood, KC would have gotten Worthy by standing pat in that draft.  Instead, we traded - and not only got Coleman, but Bishop as well.  People keep saying that if Worthy outperforms Coleman, it will look terrible for the Bills....but what if Bishop turns into a top safety?

It's almost like it's in the national psyche that KC always bests the Bills.  That will probably turn out to be a good trade for both teams, but the hot take reaction was so over the top anti-Bills.

lol
