I liked him but thought he was more of a slot guy which the Bills already had covered. Looking like a great pick for the Chargers. At the time, if I remember correctly, I liked Legette best, and Worthy next. Thought the Bills were going to go for a separation guy, and that McConkey and Keon would not be considered fits. With hindsight, Keon and McConkey look best. So far anyway. Edited 10 hours ago by Thurman#1 Quote

He is nearly impossible to tackle in the open field and can play both slot and outside. If he hadn't gotten hurt his last year at GA he'd have been an easy 1st rd pick. Love Ladd. Quote

Same route running ability and understands how to get open. The difference is after the catch. McConkey is great after the catch where Beasley was kind of limited in that area. That said, he is more of a slot guy and we have a few of those, including a guy that is quickly becoming one of the best slots in the league. It's going to be a few years before we know what any of these WRs are going to become. And when the questions is who would you have drafted, we really can't answer that because we don't know what deals were possibly on the table? Could we have gotten into the top 10 for what some of us would have deemed a reasonable price but Beane wasn't willing to pay? Maybe. Could we have found a way to move up just a few spots for BTJ? Maybe. But even including those top guys, I still think it is too early to know what any of them will be by the time it's said and done. I mean, I wasn't a fan of the Coleman pick myself. But that doesn't mean he can't be great. He just didn't have the particular skill set I wanted for this team. But the fact is, he could end up being the best in the class. He's got the best QB in the league throwing him the ball and he has physical gifts you can't teach. So, if he busts his butt and does everything he can to be the best player he can, he can be great. A lot of times it's hard to answer these questions because all we have is film and the on field testing. We don't get to interview these kids to find out what drives them and how smart they are. That's a big part of all of it that we aren't privy to. Quote

But we didn't need another small spot guy, so I'm fine with letting that slide. In what way is McConkey any way like Edelman or Welker other than being white? He’s much more like Amon Ra or Antonio Brown. Do you watch football? Quote

I think McConkey will be very productive but I'm definitely liking Coleman's presence is late season and playoff games where holding is never called, assuming he learns to make his size work for him. 10 years? That's a long time to play in the NFL Quote
Mr. WEO Posted 14 minutes ago Posted 14 minutes ago Bryce Young's #1 WR? That would rule out any chance at "best career"... Quote

Chargers #1 need this offseason remains WR. Even with QJ coming back from looking like an all time bust. Slot guys are nice. That’s what they are Quote
