I think basically the moment he had Mike McCarthy run out of town (and to be clear he was right on McCarthy but the Packers allowed Aaron to politic behind the scenes and interfere in the decision) he got a sense that he was and should be bigger than the team. 2

The thing about Rodgers right now is that he is walking proof that if you can't scramble now, you can't succeed in the NFL. He's never a threat to run it or sneak it, and that really puts a lid on an offense. And honestly, he's still one of the two-three best throwers in the game. His arm remains amazing. But if you can't move, you can't succeed in today's NFL. He's basically a Drew Bledsoe who gets rid of it more quickly. I think that is just a really difficult thing for a QB to overcome. His body language is awful. I agree his actual ability to throw the football is still there. It is mobility, drive, and a little bit his processing speed which seems to have slowed that I question.

stlbills13
A little off topic but this partly shows how impressive Tom Brady was with his move to the Bucs.  But more than anything Rodgers is cooked. Physically and mentally. And I get the impression the offense and defense hate each other.

They are all doing this in a futile attempt to catch up to the BUFFALO BILLS! Let that sink in. Is this how the Pats felt all those years. These teams have mortgaged their futures for this year and it all fell apart before November. Crazy. That is nothing short of brutal. I get it, but I dont feel at all bad for them... almost like i dont expect anyone to feel bad for us Sabre fans... you gotta do it right from the top down... Woody and Terry in their respective situations have demonstrated abject ineptitude at every turn... play stupid games win stupid prizes.... and then proceeded to learn absolutely nothing from their mistakes... the concept of taking a declining 40yr old QB, paying him a bleep ton of money and them making him the defacto GM and coach was absolutely insane... only to be out done maybe by Clevelands trade for Watson and every decision that Terry Pegula has ever made regarding the Sabres.... the Sad thing for the Jets is that they have literally set themselves back a minimum of 3 years and that is if they hit on their QB this year in the draft. All the vets that Rodgers brought are aging, key pieces of the defense are going to get older... CJ Mosely is injured all the time... Williams is gonna wanna get paid, Breece Hall is not going to be as effective et al.... The worst thing to happen to them would probably win a few more games go like 8-9 or 7-10 and knock themselves out of a top QB pick.

They're like an inverse Bills team on defense (or just in general somewhat) they have all this top end talent from They're high draft picks that are going to cost them but there's no unity in how they play. Some real good players but there's a bunch of holes a d teams just pick them apart.

This year the major difference is you have Rodgers in the room all the time running the show and you have the owner obviously meddling as well.  They HAD a culture building and they decided to go with Rodgers and wrecked it. Kind of like how the Browns had something going and then flushed it by bringing in Watson. Somewhat they had a good thing going with the defense but this FO/HC pairing absolutely whiffed on the QB pick when they chose that Middle school kid, then panick pushed in all their chips on 40+ Rogers. 1 hour ago, papazoid said: Aaron Rodgers Walked Off Field While Jets Lined Up For One More Play as Time Expired  https://www.si.com/nfl/aaron-rodgers-walked-off-field-while-jets-lined-up-for-one-more-play-as-time-expired Roger's absolutely does not seem like a guy with the personality to hang around a team this bad at his age. BB turned down the Jets for Patriots years ago, I doubt he'd want to go in now with that team in it's current state. Vrabel is an interesting name but again not sure I'd take that job with roster as is.

I can't see Reddick re-signing there and Mosely is 32 and starting to show ware on his tires. Toss in their OTs are on wrong side of 30. I suspect Rodgers is going retire or move on after this season, which will likely cause DeVante to want out and make things uglier than are now.

His body language has become very "Jay Cutler-esqe" over the last few seasons. And where in the past he's always been able to slide around in the pocket and make plays, he just can't do it any longer. No amount bof Ex Packer WRs is going to help that line keep pressure off of him and now when he's got pressure...he's got a problem.
