All star WRs are like this. They can't make money if they're not producing and they can't produce if they are not thrown the ball at least 10 times a game. Devonte Adams is going to diva his way to the Jets and his old buddy Aaron Rodgers, BTW. That process is already beginning.

they all want the ball..sure...  what dont see near as often is them undermining the team and the qb.   you might see it more with players

frusted on bad teams with a bad qb but rarely on a good team with a healthy locker room.

I too was sick about worrying how Diggs felt at any given moment going back to the end of the Bengals playoff game.  I'm sure it wore on the people inside the building even more.

The "you sure" thing REALLY pissed me off at the time. Straw broke camels back after passing up several silver platter opportunities to support josh in interviews, the way josh had constantly been doing.

I can only imagine beane and the locker rooms reaction seeing/hearing that.

Diggs just really likes the attention to be on him.   It was on him when he was traded here, tons of articles the first few years about his relationship with Allen.  When that died down, he needed to stir the pot with cryptic tweets, and sideline tantrums to get the machine up and running again.  Then the trade.   Now he is with another new team he will have the attention again, including articles about what a great leader he is in Houston's Lockeroom, how he is a team captain, how all the rumors about him being difficult must have been about his old team and not him.   More articles about his relationship with Allen and the innerworkings of the Bills organization.   Not to mention all the attention on him this week playing the Bills.   Its rinse, wash, repeat with this guy.

Houston could easily win this game, and then he will get more attention because maybe he did make Allen.     The reality of Diggs is he is very good at football, but he is also an incredibly emotionally immature narcissist.    If he were a musician or a writer, the press would dub him a "tortured genius" when the truth of the matter is he just a selfish person who changes the entire feel of a room because everyone else has to worry about his "feelings."    It will likely work out in Houston because it seems like the shelf life for him being able to not let his emotions control his actions on a football team is somewhere between 3 and 4 years, and he will either leave in free agency or retire before that happens.

Glad for what he did here.   Glad he is gone.   Wish I didnt have to continue hearing about him.

They restructured his deal. He's a FA after this season. He'll play one year in Houston and then go on to Dallas to play with his brother or to KC to chase a ring.

Great read actually..

"You always have to worry about how he feels," a Bills team source said. "That wears on a locker room."

Also forgot we got a 2025 5th as well in that trade, source calling us lucky for the value we got. I agree.

I was a huge Diggs fan, but after the Bengals L, leaving your team like that, I started to change my feelings. Couldn't imagine a Captain doing that and not feeling some resentment towards them, I only played til high school, but still, you become a family after months of grinding and I wouldn't look at them the same.

Not sure Dallas can afford him. They still gotta pay up big deals

C.J. Stroud defends Stefon Diggs ahead of Texans WR's first meeting with Bills: 'I think he got a bad rap'

The writing had been on the wall for a while, especially after Diggs missed part of mandatory minicamp due to apparent displeasure with the team, leading Bills coach Sean McDermott to state he was "very concerned" about Diggs' brief absence and setting a tense tone for their final campaign spent together.

None of that matters to Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud, who is happy to have Diggs on his side for this meeting.

"It's been great. I think he got a bad rap just by the media and by people," Stroud said of Diggs on Wednesday. "But he's been nothing but just amazing to this team and to his teammates.

He's helped me out a ton. As you can see, we're clicking more and more every game.

So, I'm very happy for him and I'm glad that he's finally having fun playing the game and doing what he loves to do because he loves football a lot.

So, just really, really happy to be part of his journey and just being around him has been really awesome."

Oh CJ...Allen thought the same thing as well when we got him from the Vikes. Give it time kid.

Not sure what Allen and CJ actually thought/think about Diggs, but both know the right thing to say to the media. CJ has the advantage of only having to do it for one season.

When stroud was asked his top 5 qbs in the league last year he didn't have Allen on it but had himself.

So I imagine in the locker room there is a lot of eye rolling on Allen.  We are going to get a fired up texans team sunday.

the funniest part is Diggs is a known deserter of teams and the Texans already have that vibe about them about winning this one for Diggs as if someone did something to him in Buffalo other than give him bonuses and defend him 24/7.

I literally hate Diggs.  I hope the Bills find a way to win so the Bills multimedia guys can be petty and post a response on twitter to diggs saying We're Sure.

now if we lose and the texans post something similar....well How dare they....

For the record Stroud has been asked that question many times and usually includes Allen. Why do you care?

The Texans game is going to be tough if we don’t get some players back at close to 100%. If Dawkins can’t go or is hobbled, that’s going to be a problem. Ditto with Shakir. No Von Miller to provide pressure for us. A banged up back seven isn’t going to help us either. Hopefully we’re getting healthy there, but who knows who will be able to suit up. About the only bright spots are that the Ravens didn’t manage to injure Allen despite their dirty play and Houston will be without their top two RBs and Tunsil - though Tunsil has been a penalty machine this season so it might be better for us if he is out there. Hoping for the best, but this one worries me.

Stroud will love Diggs up until playoffs start. Then he'll disappear as usual.

Now change Strouds name to Allen's and you have the exact same soundsbites you had when he came here from Minnesota.  Sorry but when everyone around you has a problem maybe the problem is you and not everyone else.

2 key things about this game regarding Diggs:

  • No doubt Diggs will have some extra juice for this game, more so than he had for his first game back in Minny.
  • No doubt CJ Stroud being a young player is going to feel real pressure to get Diggs the ball even if Diggs is not putting that pressure on him.

CJ is a young QB and I can really see maybe not playing as freely as he should this week knowing the importance of this game to Diggs.  I can easily see him pressing to get him the ball more and I think that could play into our favor.
