If Diggs came back, would it be a bigger shocker than when Ted Nolan came back to the Sabres?

There's a better shot he signs with the Toronto Argonauts than signing back here.

Fair- But Diggs was what, 26 or 27 when he came to Buffalo?

Now this year he's turning 32 coming off an acl injury.

I never thought I'd say this about the Patriots but beggars can't be choosers.  Also, say what you want about Diggs the person but I never questioned his work ethic when he's locked in.  If there's anybody that can come back from an ACL tear even in his early 30's and still be at least a serviceable WR2 it's him.

This just screamed to me of a player not having many or any offers that they liked. So put it out there that they're visiting the Patriots in hope that someone else calls. I don't think Diggs wants anything to do with that situation. But he might not have a choice but to play for someone like the Patriots or not sign anywhere in the offseason.

Ya fair points- I am a bit torn on if I think Diggs is done or not though.

2023 2nd half season with the bills-  all his advanced stats showed he was declining pretty rapidly.

Last year he was pretty descent before the injury , but he didn't have to be the "guy" and was used more in the slot position.

Now coming off an acl going into his age 32 season? Not gonna say he's done, but i think the tank is running pretty close to empty

His days as a No. 1 are long gone.  Depending on how well his body holds up, I can see him still being a good slot guy for another couple of years.  He's a great route runner and a dawg (when he wants it).

Ya, maybe.

He's a twitchy, route runner- If he loses some of that twitch cause age/acl, going to be a lot tougher for him to find production

Does Diggs have it in him to be the “prodigal son”

Wasn’t he quoted as saying JA17 was MVP?

Diggs goes to a top 3 team in the nfl (bills) and may end up with one of the worst. I'd seriously love to know why he wanted out of here so bad, and I don't buy that he wasn't getting the ball enough

His best bet for having any kind of cash out in 2026 is to sign asap for whatever is offered, work his way into the lineup and put up 800 yards.  Don’t know if his knee will allow that but he’s always been a workout warrior.

Some positive comments from Stefon.

“I really look forward to (playing with Drake Maye). It’s crazy because when you ask around, he has a lot of similarities — people say through the grapevine, he acts a lot like Josh. That was my guy, so I look forward to meeting and connecting with him.”

Yes, he always plays nice early. I’m kinda curious to see how this goes, since I don’t see them as much of a threat regardless. He got paid a lot to say the right stuff. The pouty part will come later. But how long does it take?

Of course, I noticed the "was" more than anything....

He's no longer on the team.  Using past tense to describe a time period of two plus years ago seems appropriate, and reading anything more into it feels like reaching.

“Reaching” would be ignoring the 31M we paid to ship him out of town lol
