Or, maybe some of us just really dislike him and he isn't worth wasting a spot on anymore.

I would absolutely dislike Diggs the team mate coming back with that sour attitude.

I would not mind Diggs the player coming in to play on a snap count and to give us that threat again.

Unfortunately, I dont think we can separate the player from the personality.

I'm sure if Diggs is ever considered they ask Josh before even investigating a deal. You don't commit a quarter of a billion of new money to your league MVP QB. and then let some old diva with a dramatic history come back without running by your QB first.

I suspect Josh is happier without Diggs. Diggs acted like the leader when he was here and Josh was quieter. Josh is now the leader and probably likes the drama-free atmosphere 1000% more without Diggs.

If Diggs were 27, it might be a question but not at his age.

The off the field stuff is just too much of a possible distraction and the age/injury concern makes the possible reward not great either.

This is one of the many things that would make the idea of his return shocking and bizarre.

Diggs knows what fan perception of him was when he was here at the end. It clearly bothered him on social media. And it got worse when things went south and he went to Houston. I wouldn't think he'd want to put himself back here.

On the flip side, Beane is also aware of how a large portion of the fan base feels about him. He'd be a hard sell to the fans.

And that's not even one of the biggest issues.

This is the dumbest offseason topic ever.  There is 0% chance that Diggs returns.  Last year, Buffalo was willing to eat $31M in dead cap space just to get him off the team.

Now 11 months later, they want to bring him back?

It’s just not gonna happen.   It just seems like one of those offseason topics that Bills fans bat around out of boredom.

I’ll say on paper, signing Diggs to a one-year contract as a depth receiver might be worth a gamble.

But you can’t separate Diggs the person from Diggs the player.  When you take into account his attitude, it’s a terrible idea.

Which is exactly why it’s not going to happen.

He's probably the best option out there right now.  And he's a very good WR, despite age & injury.

I'd pump my fist if we got him.

Where do you think Diggs fits in the WR room?  I don’t think you want him starting over Palmer or Shakir and you probably want to see Coleman get snaps on the outside too.

Assuming Buffalo drafts a rookie WR mid-round or above, I think that puts at WR4 or WR5 fighting it out with Curtis Samuel, Laviska Shenault, Jalen Virgil, and Tyrell Shavers.

Is Diggs going to be cool taking the 4th highest amount of snaps?   Exactly why this won’t happen.

He is a headcase butthole.  We don’t need the drama.  Going on strike against NE.  The friggin make up bag do dispute.   The special parking spot to try to curb his lateness.  And,  FYI,  the hot police chase that ended in a standoff on stadium grounds.  (Haven’t heard that one yet, I suspect.).  No friggin way this guy is back.

If he wants to play, he may not have a choice, wherever he signs.

At 31 years old and coming off a torn ACL incurred at the end of October, whoever signs him won't be factoring him into any plans to start the season. And if anyone was jumping through hoops to make him an important member of their squad or willing to give him what he wants - he would have been signed by now.

Did Kelly and Reed ever get into it ? I don't really remember. I read Kelly and Burkett had a meltdown on Monday night in 89 vs Denver lol

Yes. Kelly didn’t throw to Reed for 1/2 a season after Reed said something about a mutual female “acquaintance” to Kelly

Bills are probably one WR short still. They lost Mack and Amari, but only signed Palmer.  (I'm not going to take Shevault seriously).

Hopefully that comes via the draft, but maybe if they don't get a guy they like, another vet could be signed later.

Still don't think it would be Diggs!

importantly, he’s not likely to age with grace.

frankly he’s still playing the “doesn’t anybody listen to drake” nonsense to his “cryptic” tweets

If he doesn’t roll the credits by choice and instead limps into retirement I have little doubt that he will do so with public frustration about his diminishing role
