I think when he left and reworked his deal to be a FA after this year, his goal was Dallas to play with his brother. He and his brother have been pretty open about wanting to play on the same team. 

 

I don't have any idea where the idea of him having some long term plan to join the Chiefs is coming from. Other than fans suffering from KCDS...Kansas City Derangement Syndrome. Much like they did New England a half decade ago.

With his age and injury , Wouldn't be surprised wherever he ends up, that team will get him on a discount.  Texans did great with the contract

He seems more driven to win than play with his brother. It always seemed one way to me, his brother seemed to do most of the talking. And Buffalo probably would have traded him to Dallas if they had wanted him. Beane said KC was off the table, I didn't hear anything about Dallas.

 

Why wouldn't he want to play with Patrick Mahomes to give himself a great chance of playing in the Super Bowl? They're a pretty good bet. Andy Reid seems to not mind the crazies. Seems like they also have a need. What else do you need?

I said it when he was here, I'll say it one more time. 

 

Diggs is not some otherworldly driven player to win any more then most guys in the league. That narrative was carefully crafted and has been often repeated. It's flat out a false narrative.

 

The ONLY thing that drives Diggs is Diggs. His image and the way he's branded. Stef cares about Stef.

I think thats just insane. His departure is what allowed Josh to feel more comfortable as the undisputed leader of this team. You don’t risk messing with that for an old WR off a major injury. Who knows if he’s ever close to the version he once was.

You want to give a 2 year deal to an over 30 year old receiver coming off an ACL that was a headache. No thanks.

I would bet money Diggs desire to win a SB exceeds his desire to play with his brother.  I am not saying he won't land in Dallas, but if he does, it may not be because it was his preferred choice, it may be his market isn't what he thought and that was the best offer he got.

You could be right. You could be way off. Who really knows. Trying to figure out what's in his mind is a fools errand IMO.

 

I'm sure he has a goal of a Super Bowl win. And he's stated a goal of his is to play with his brother. The difference being one he could make happen easily. I'm certain the Cowboys who lack weapons would take him on with a prove it deal. The other is a dart throw. Even signing with KC doesn't mean a ring. 

 

So is all things were equal, does he roll the dice on achieving one goal...or does he achieve the one that is guaranteed with the hope he can get the ring in Dallas. Time will tell

Diggs wants to play with his brother in Dallas. That was his goal from the beginning. He will take less money than other places are offering to go there. This is the easiest move to peg of impending FA.
