I'm thinking of the one with Abdul Jabbar was in it.

I think you mean Roger Murdock. He's the co-pilot.

It might make me sound insane but I’d take Diggs back next year. You know he’s going to be way more affordable and he knows the offense. The guy is a top 3 WR in the history of this organization. If he wanted to and Josh wanted him back, I’d be all for it. You come in and play your role. You are no longer the A1 option but if he wanted to come in and play alongside of Keon? I’m good. Assuming Cooper isn’t back obviously

I know what you're saying, but I don't trust him anymore. Seeing a WR1 come off the field on 3rd down, repeatedly, changed my feelings about him.

The playoff game.  But you knew that.

No, I did not. You said "in" Cincinnati.

Regardless, just because he was throwing his hands up in the air that day doesn't mean he was the only one trying.

My assumption is neither party would have interest but if they did, I’d be all for it. That’s all I’m saying

Yeah but didn't Jabbar have a cameo role as a passenger?  He was the one speaking "jive" and another passenger translated??

No - Kareem was co-pilot, Barbara Billingsly (the Beav's Mom) was the translator

How good did he really have it?

The beginning of the end was in Cincinnati when he was literally the only player on the team who gave any effort.

Add a carousel of OCs and an inept HC to the mix and I don’t think he was a dumbass at all.

No one played harder during his entire tenure in Buffalo.

Let's start at the bottom and work back.

Disagree no one played harder during his entire tenure.  The OL...Beasley...Davis (results didn't always match but effort was there)....Milano...Taron Johnson just for a few.  Hyde and Poyer, always going hard.  Then there was the Steelers playoff game last year where he fumbled the first catch of the game, leading to a penalty as Kincaid alertly batted it out of bounds...he was taking himself off the field and sometimes half assing his routes when the play design didn't come to him.  And he wasn't exactly a terror as a downfield blocker.

Disagree he was "literally the only player on the team who gave any effort" in the Bengals playoff game.  4 receptions on 10 targets for 35 yards?  Those weren't all uncatchable balls.  He was given his opportunities, maybe too many opportunities instead of taking the underneath shots, and he didn't come through.  Josh Allen laid it all on the line.

There was not a "carousel" of OCs.  He had Daboll for 3 years, then Dorsey for a year and a half.  That's actually less turnover than most teams.

You're entitled to your opinion that Diggs was not a dumbass.  I think he's probably pretty smart, myself, but I also think he's a card-carrying narcissist and wants the name of leader when times are good, without actually doing the heavy lifting a true leader does in hard times.

I’m guessing you’re the type that gets back together with the certifiably crazy chick after a while because you never forgot how bonkers she was in the sack but you DID forgot how crazy she was every other second of the day as well.

I get what you’re saying here.  If Diggs eats crow and realizes the grass isn’t always greener on the other side and also says “yes I understand I’m 3rd/4th option now” etc etc.

But that’s just not Diggs.  Never will be Diggs.  That’s also not Trevon and as soon as Stefon doesn’t hit 500 yards in 5 games how soon before Trevon posts about how his brother should join a real time like the 2-3 cowboys.

I’m over the circus.

I do not think there was any way they would have taken that cap hit unless Josh wanted him gone.  I don’t see Josh changing his mind now that he sees how an offense can perform when you don’t have one guy demanding the ball no matter what.

These snippets from Mike Silver's article in the Athletic are pretty interesting:

https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5997141/2024/12/16/josh-allen-bills-lions-mythical-play?source=user-shared-article

Quote

If Allen seems unencumbered — “Free,” as one Bills coach puts it — there’s a good reason for that. When the Bills traded star wideout Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans last April, it left them without a marquee receiver, but it made Allen’s workplace reality a lot smoother.

According to several Bills sources, the once close connection between Allen and Diggs began to fray late in the 2022 season. Diggs wanted to be targeted more frequently and chafed when Allen didn’t get him the ball. Allen, in turn, became frustrated by the receiver’s penchant for freelancing, believing he couldn’t count on Diggs to be where he was supposed to be on certain routes.

All of this led Allen, who some of those same Bills sources describe as a “pleaser,” to feel compelled to force the ball to Diggs. Allen also tried to make sure he delivered an ample amount of balls to Buffalo’s No. 2 receiver, Gabe Davis, with whom he was close. Davis signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars as a free agent last March.

Now, Allen simply goes through his reads and finds the open man — or, when no one’s open, uses his exceptional athleticism and improvisational ability to buy time until he finds someone open.

“Josh is soooo much more relaxed,” another Bills coach said. “Before, with all the drama, it was like he became exhausted.”

As a result, what was once Allen’s stigma — forcing the ball, being reckless and committing costly turnovers — has been all but erased. He has thrown just five interceptions in 14 games, with two lost fumbles.

Yep that’s how it looked to me so I’d believe it, then it looked like diggs started phoning it in when Brady took over so Brady probably made it clear we weren’t forcing it to diggs anymore

I don’t think there’s any way we’d have him back or he’d be proud enough to admit he did something wrong.  Pretty fitting end he dropped that wide open deep shot and unheralded MVS made a couple much more difficult plays for the chiefs

Moral of the story,  for the rest of Josh’s career with the Buffalo Bills, there will be no more Diva WR’s in the locker room.  They are toxic and not needed here.
