That's beyond middle-age in WR years. Great regular-season player for several years but I'm glad we have Cooper instead of him. And the extra picks. Agree. When we signed Diggs, I took some of the warnings from Viking fans seriously. But I blended their concerns with a couple of other things: (1) Some of his teammates insisted he was misunderstood and just wanted to win. (2) He joined the Vikes when he was 21 years old. Often people at that age are still learning, growing, maturing. But then his relationship with Allen deteriorated and now he says stuff like, "I'm never the bigger person." I guess he skipped the early 20s maturation phase. 2

I wonder how salty diggs is that Minnesota hit a home run replacing him in the draft then we brought in cooper after he left who is seeming like he could be an upgrade lol

Some of the eagles biggest busts in his tenure were early round wr picks and he hasn’t exactly crushed those type of picks with the chiefs either. The eagles would probably have an extra superbowl or two if reid could’ve developed the first couple names in this list Todd Pinkston- bad Freddy Mitchell- horrible Reggie Brown-bad Desean Jackson-great Jeremy Macklin - good Mecole Hardman- kinda bad Skyy Moore- bad Rashee Rice - good at minimum but could be great Xavier Worthy-? despite being a later pick I think tyreek has to get mentioned here because of how good he is recent free agent/trade acquisitions: juju- meh Toney- horrible MVS- bad sammy Watkins- kinda bad demarcus Robinson- bad

Greg Cosell is not just any talking head... if you watch content from Greg Cosell and Mike Florio then you learn a lot about the details, much moreso than you get from the cartoon characters out there on TV. Narcissists certainly have positive and charismatic traits to their personality. But until he changes he'll always be toxic to a team in the long run. As you observe, narcissists don't like to change or mature. Problems are always someone else's fault.

He was handsomely paid, he received a ton of targets, he put up gaudy statistics, he played for a top five quarterback, he played for a winning team that is perennially in the playoffs, he was beloved by the fan base, he was a national star. What more -- literally, WHAT MORE -- could he possibly want? One could say that it was his waning involvement in the offense that soured him, but we can all see that things had changed prior to that. That Diggs' demeanor and interest in being a Buffalo Bill had changed. So the question is -- why? How could a player have everything I just listed above, and still want out? Still think the grass is greener elsewhere? There simply MUST be something that happened behind the scenes that we're all not aware of, because none of it makes any sense. He seemingly had everything, and he still wanted out. I'll never understand it. Oh, and one more thing: seeing how free and light and fun the atmosphere around the team seems to be right now, compared to what it was last year...it's hard to conclude anything other than that Diggs's presence was a huge negative influence on team mood and chemistry, and that his ouster is gonna pay huge dividends for this team (and this quarterback) mentally. What's sometimes forgotten is that the discontent didn't just spring up mid-season last year when he wasn't getting the targets; he was a no-show at OTAs in the spring, and there was obviously a problem that had to be worked out to get him to participate. Whatever the issue was, it started (at the least) sometime following the 2022 season. Was there ongoing friction between Josh and Diggs? We all saw the in-your-face sideline moment in which Diggs was giving it to Josh. Josh is the face of the franchise. Big mistake on Diggs' part to put that on public display. If Diggs was so displeased with Josh's performance, maybe he should take a good look in the mirror because he sure had his share of untimely drops as the season went on last year. It's a shame things went as they did. Steph was great with the fans, especially the kids. His competitive spirit is commendable, but the 'me first' mentality is a cancer on a team sport. I wish him well when not facing the Bills.
babulator
Diggs was one of the most unlikeable players to ever wear a Bills uniform. This guy caused drama on a team that was on the cusp of a superbowl (minus a dropped pass) because he thought he was bigger than the team. He threw shade @ Josh the 1st chance he got and really tried to imply that he was the reason for Josh's success. He even states openly that he's not a guy to take the high road, I just don't understand the ❤️ people give him here. If Diggs went anywhere else but buffalo after Minny he'd not have had the success he enjoyed here. Im not saying he was not good, Im saying he's grossly overrated and just don't understand the fondness people here have for him.
Saxum
It is very interesting that Texans trade for him and then restructure it to be a one year contact. Perhaps they thought this was best way to get something out of him without "Bad Diggs" appearing but for cost of a second round pick it seems a lot. Diggs was fantastic for a few seasons and embraced the community. The way it fell apart was ugly, yes.
