Bro 😭😭😭

Sounds like my kid when I tell them I got a call from the school and ask if there's something they want to tell me about before we talk.

This dude really tries to say the trades the Bills and Jets made help Miami be a better team.

Well wtf do you expect him to say?

Def not a Miami fan, but their coach isn’t the issue imo.

I kind of disagree. I think he is one of their many issues.

As for what he could’ve said, how about something like this: “Yeah, those are two good players the Bills and Jets got. That said, we’re confident in the guys we have, and we look forward to playing them both again.  Next question?”

I reasonably brave coach could say "Our franchise QB is indefinitely out. We aren't going to burn assets on a rental if we are so underwater that miss the playoffs anyway. Evaluating our younger players seems like a better use of our time, money and picks"

Because if the Phins are likely to do that is Tua comes back later

"I don't really comment on other teams personal moves. I'm just trying to get the guys on my roster ready." Something a long those lines. Not "It makes us better". That's idiotic.

And yes, their coach is an issue. Their GM is the bigger issue. Their owner may be the biggest issue of all.

Nailed it. I have a handful of Dolphins fans near me down here, and they all agree with that list. Ross is the biggest problem, GM is the other big problem. It's likely Ross isnt going anywhere, so they're stuck wishing for a new GM. But they also know that given the track record, Ross doesnt have the ability to identify/hire the right guys (and us Bills fans know that cycle all too well).

Love to see it.

He isn't the biggest issue. But he is a part of it. When you struggle to compete with playoff teams, have late season collapses two years in a row, go through 3 defensive coordinators in 3 years... some of it is on the Head Coach. I'm just not sure he is HC material. He is a really good offensive coach. But you need more than that.

He's also limited by the quality and production of his personnel.  Just like every other coach in the NFL.

You have ***** employees, expect ***** results.  It's that simple.  Sure, maybe you can squeeze a little better performance out of them, but it is what it is.

Yes, but there are elements that are on him. They didn't lose to Tennessee to blow the division seed last year when in poll position because Tennessee were more talented for example. He is a good Xs and Os coach on offense. But he struggles to lead and he hasn't been able to get the D right at any stage despite a lot of resources being poured into it.

Wait......what?!?

He is a part of their issues. Miami has talent on that roster, there's no doubt about that, however, if the HC can't lead these guys every week, then that talent is wasted, which is what's happening with the Fins these days.

They are imploding.

The owner......the GM.....the HC......in that order, so he's about 33.3% the issue.

The Bills & Jets got better with these moves so we have to play better to match them.

or

The goal is to make the playoffs by winning the Division and that just got harder but we're ready to take on that challenge.

The Dolphins (2-4) have produced three fewer offensive touchdowns than any other team this season with just six; the league average is 15. They scored 20 points — with Tagovailoa — against what has proved to be an awful Jacksonville defense in Week 1 and since then they have mustered 10, three, 12, 15 and 10 points. They are averaging a staggeringly poor 1.01 points per drive, last in the league. (The average is 1.98.) They are scoring touchdowns on just 8.7 percent of their drives, also last in the league. (The average is 21.3 percent.) The next-worst team, Cleveland, is at 11.1 percent — a different area code. They still employ superior wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, explosive backs Raheem Mostert and De’Von Achane, some highly paid offensive linemen and supposedly one of the true running game innovators in the NFL. And they have the worst red-zone offense in the league.

“The owner can’t be very happy about this,” said one general manager, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because he is not permitted to comment on personnel employed by other teams. “How can they be this bad with the talent they have there? I know they lost their quarterback, but come on. Look at [Browns Coach Kevin] Stefanski — he got to the playoffs last year with a bunch of backup quarterbacks.

“If [McDaniel is] an offensive guru, then why doesn’t anyone look good in his offense? Where’s Tyreek Hill? He’s not getting anything out of his backs or receivers. He can’t scheme anybody open? … If you want to blame the [backup quarterbacks], who do you think picked them? [GM Chris] Grier? That offense is [McDaniel’s] baby. It’s all on him.”

Through six games, not a single Dolphins player has even 500 scrimmage yards. Hill, somehow, has just 330, and Waddle has yet to break 300. The Dolphins have faced their share of awful defenses, including a fairly broken Colts defense this past Sunday. And yet they again ran out of ideas and winning plays on third down (6 for 15) and in the red zone (1 for 3).

“When you are this deep into a season, with that much talent, that’s on the coach,” said one longtime NFL scout and evaluator under similar restrictions about speaking publicly. “You have to find ways to move the football. You think Andy Reid would put this s--- on film if he lost [Patrick] Mahomes? Get the hell out of here.”

He’s actually right here.  I remember watching Hill and Waddle smile on the bench during the 4th quarter of the Bills game.  I didn’t think anything of it but can understand why fans were upset.

Apparently they did they did the same thing last week and McDaniel joined along with them.  Doesn’t seem to be a sense of urgency
