Mr. WEO Posted September 7, 2024 Posted September 7, 2024 I’m screaming at the TV “F…her up!!!!!” 1 Quote
DapperCam Posted September 7, 2024 Posted September 7, 2024 Why does this other lady moan after every hit? Even after the ball is long gone she’ll do it, so it isn’t like when she’s hitting the ball. Seems like a distraction technique to me. Quote
RobbRiddick Posted September 7, 2024 Posted September 7, 2024 I've only just clicked on this thread. Have many people suggested that Pegula winning the US Open will be a good omen for the Bills? 1 Quote

RobbRiddick Posted September 7, 2024 Posted September 7, 2024 Apparently Sabalenka is a Chiefs fan Quote
DapperCam Posted September 7, 2024 Posted September 7, 2024 Pegula looks like a Bills defense with the game on the line. 1 Quote
Success Posted September 7, 2024 Posted September 7, 2024 Fantastic run from Pegula - she took a huge step forward w/ this tournament. Sabalenka is just better right now, and a great player. 3 Quote
Andrew Son Posted September 7, 2024 Posted September 7, 2024 Up 5-3 in the second to lose 7-5… 1 Quote
Freddie's Dead Posted September 7, 2024 Posted September 7, 2024 Well done Jess. You'll beat the orgasmically screaming one next time. You learned how to deal with her power, and you did well in your first major final. Proud of you! 1 Quote
Mr. WEO Posted September 7, 2024 Posted September 7, 2024 Sabalenkas people are dirty gypsies 1 Quote
Draconator Posted September 7, 2024 Posted September 7, 2024 If I can find a silver lining, one of Sabalenka's team was wearing an OAKLAND A's jersey. F John Fisher 1 Quote
zow2 Posted September 7, 2024 Posted September 7, 2024 Tough to beat someone i’ve heard called the Beast of Belarus. Oh well. hope her window for a major hasn’t closed. The Tennis channel or whatever made it seem like Jess Pegula is ancient and no one 30 and over comes out and wins their first major. 1 Quote
Process Posted September 7, 2024 Posted September 7, 2024 Hell of an effort by Jess. Sabalenka is just too good. When she is on her game she is very tough to beat. The difference in power is drastic. Unfortunately at 30yo, that likely was her best shot at winning a slam. 1 2 Quote

Mr. WEO Posted September 7, 2024 Posted September 7, 2024 It’s hard to believe there has been no mention of Pegula significant personal burden with her mom…yet we have to hear about this woman’s piker gangster boyfriend who was tossed off a Miami balcony. Boooooo F’ing hoooo 1 Quote
UConn James Posted September 7, 2024 Posted September 7, 2024 (edited) Nice comeback to get back in the match by Jess, but it’s just so hard to stick with someone who serves in the 120s. Sabalenka’s serve speed is higher than a lot of men’s. Given the Russian (& Belarusian, not much of a distinction) state-sponsored doping program that has barred them from numerous Olympics, it wouldn’t surprise me if Sabalenka was roided up 💉 when she was young/er. 25 minutes ago, DapperCam said: Why does this other lady moan after every hit? A lot of the Russian gals do the screaming bit on every hit. Sharapova used to be the worst until they started threatening her with disqualification, before she was caught… doping. Miyagi-Do Karate Posted September 7, 2024 Posted September 7, 2024 Very painful to watch. I know Sabalenka is a beast and this was straight sets, but that match basically came down to like 2 or 3 points. 3 Quote
ColoradoBills Posted September 7, 2024 Posted September 7, 2024 You played well Jessica, and you never gave up. Glad to hear your mom was there with you. 1 Quote
